I thought there weren't enough polls on the EV:O Web Boards. So. Which do you like better: SW or ST.

Not enough polls eh? I personally prefer ST:TNG.

STAR TREK RULES.
Star Wars is very good but is nothing compared to ST: TNG, DS9 or Voyager.

I'm a big fan of both. I like ST:TNG, ST:Voyager (didn't watch DS9 too much), the recent movies and a bunch of the earlier movies. I really liked the 3 SW movies (thought Episode 1 was pretty disappointing though - I missed the charisma and depth of character that made the first 3 so great). And finally, I really like a lot of the technical manuals, art books and novels that come from both SW and ST.

Well, personally, I don' like either. I hate Star Trek just because I don't! It is hard to explain. It has something with my friend liking it, and talking about it all day.

How can you form an opinion about Star Trek if you're totally ignorant on the subject?
Personally, I like Babylon 5 the best, but, out of these choices, I would have to say Star Trek DS9.

ST DS9 got REALLY good during the Dominion war, but that Bajorian stuff was boaring. Voyager had so much more potential, but they always went back to plots they knew would work, they didn't want to take risks (sorry I'm a screenplay writer, so i see plot in depth) as for Star Wars, it lacks the ability to work of off. For example, only Zahn, Tyers, and a few other writers have made any real good plot lines following the trilogy, and with Episode 1 they introduced WAY too many new things, and a lot of the equipment looked BETTER then the stuff in 4 5 and 6, it should have looked worse. As for the Next generation in Star trek they had a good plot with pleanty of ideas, however in the beginning the characters seemed VERY undeveloped.
So I have to say I like them both about the same, thay all have annoying little qwerks. (a little piece of advice, don't go into screenwriting unless you like you give witty comments about movies I have almost gotten kicked out of five theaters for mocking plots/characters)

I agree, the Dominion War story arc was pretty well done. I'm actually waiting for the novelizations to arrive from amazon.com.

I have to say SW, probably because of the storyline and the books and stuff available continuing the saga. Out of ST I will have to say Voyager because DSN is so boring, most of the time

That's because Kirk could get away with it... Starfleet in 2264 and Starfleet in 2364 are totally different. If Picard went around womanizing and shooting people all the time, he'd be court-martialed.
