Pff, don't give me hte arada speech again. It's a piece of junk. Not powerful enough to fight warships. Not fast enough to fight fighters. Too small cargo to trade well. I much prefer a UE destroyer, it's good at what it does. The arada is good at nothing and mediocre at everything.

Now wait a minute...Since when has the Arada been said to be an expert on fighting warships? It isn't made for that! However, people can take the vessel and turn it into a light warship if they want...Otherwise, it is the best freighter you'll find in the game. It jumps very fast, too, which makes delievering cargo much easier and safer.

I could take out anything smaller than a UE destroyer in my arada. They are just fast enough to compete with fighters, and have enough extra space and guns to be able to stand up to small warships.

Right on, Carnotaur. I've been able to take out UE destroyers without using the Monty Python. The agility of the Arada gives it a decisive advantage, as does its high speed. I guess you could classify the Arada as either a light freighter or a heavy fighter/light warship.

Actually, I think I like the blaze cannon better then the turret. The turret is terribly innacurate compaired to the cannon, and you can pack quite a whallop with three or four blaze guns. I usually use the blaze turrets for when I'm doing missions against a lot of fighters. They produce a good spread to give all the fighters a big of damage as they attempt to swarm your vessel...That's the only time its innacuracy gives you an advantage.

The arada is junk. The cargo bay is small, too small for frieght. The jump is okay I guess but if you had more shields, you wouldn't need faster jumps. Carn, my point is that you can only take out ships of destroyer level or lower. It is not suited for what it wants to do. The azdara for example is a fighter and it murders other fighters. It also can take heavy and light warships easily. It is the best ship in teh game. Much better than any arada.

But you're still kinda missing the point here. Sure, the Arada could have more cargo space, but for most people it is plenty, and the Arada is not intended for being an attack craft, much less taking on huge warships.

The strongpoint of the arada isn't its shields, cargo, or fuel. It's this: weapon space and turret space. What ship of that size and maneuverability can carry 2 turrets, and has 80 tons of free weapons space? The Arada is THE most compact ship in the game.

Exactly, and another thing about it is that, while it may not be the best ship in the crescent, it rocks around the UE, Emalgha, Voinians and such. It can outmaneuver ANY of the ships around that area of space, and it also is powerpacked enough to take out just about anything if the pilot is good enough.

Woah Woah Woah! I will defend my Arada and it's ability to the end of the world if I have to. I don't know what you people expect out of the Arada, but it is a DAMN good ship. With mine, I've been able to take out hundreds of ships, Voinian Cruisers, Renegade Crescent Warships, and all the big boys. Hell, I even tried to dominate Gadzair, I was able to take out quite a few of those Crescent Warships. Here's the secret behind the Arada:
It's shields aren't great. Fine, do the Azdgari Missions, and slap on 4 Shield Enhancers, and the Experimental Shield Generator, along with another one. Problem solved. I am able to take quite a beating from Voinian rockets and neutron fire, before going down to my armor. The armor isn't enough. Fine. Slap on a layer of Dospect (sp?) armor. Problem Solved. It isn't a good freighter. Fine. Slap on 1 or 2 Cargo Expansions, and you'll have enough room for weapons AND your freight deliveries. Not enough weapon space. Fine. Slap on 1 mass expansion, and you should have enough. Not enough fuel. Fine. Slap on 2 fuel tanks and 2 fuel scoops. Problem Solved. Too slow. Fine. Get RCS, Thrust, Engine, and Azdgari upgrades. Problem solved.
I rest my case.

Aww hell, I'll add some more proof the Arada is an amazing ship. I've been stopped by Three (3) forces.
Council Station Defense Force. I didn't go down without a MAJOR fight though.
3 Igazras grouped together. Hey, thats 15 Phase turrets. Longer than my Swivel Phase can reach.
4 Voinian Cruisers, and 6 Voinian Frigates. All grouped together.
Let's see your "precious" UE Destroyer take those out single handedly.
P.S. I don't mean to be snotty or bratty or angry, I just like to defend my ship.

Yeap...Nothing beats the Arada. I think it may be the best in the game, with a close call between the Igadzra, Azdara, and Crescent Warship. The Arada rules.

Bah the Igadzra's only advantage over the Arada (mine anyway) is that the turrets reach farther (further?) than the Swivel Phase Cannon. Thats the ONLY advantage those ships have over me.

I would never buy a Krait. I kill them almost accidentally. The worst weapon would have to be the Emalgha cannon against any ship other than the Voinians.

Actually, the Emalgha Turret is worse. Smaller range, MUCH larger, and it's not really a turret either. It's like an Emalgha Cannon, except MUCH worse.
