    • Why do I keep losing money?

      AAAARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lose money every time I jump to another system! Can anyone help me?

      It sounds like you have a paid escort. Press "P" while in play and see if the pilot screen says anything about escort payments. If there is, you can fire them by hailing them and saying "Release from servitude".

      Well, it could be one of a few things. Do you have hired escorts? If you hire an escort from a spaceport bar, they have an initial hiring price, and then a daily income, everytime one day passes (hyperjump, in your case) they take a certain amount of money.

      Another idea, it may be Captain Hector, is your copy of Escape Velocity Override registered? I don't really remember how his stealing worked, as I registered pretty quickly. (After loving EV so much, I knew EVO wouldn't be bad, so I just registered as quickly as I could)

      If you don't have escorts, and you have a registered copy of EVO, maybe its a plug-in? Do you have any plug-ins installed? Check the folder called "EV Plug-ins" and see if there is anything in there.

      If you dont have any plug-ins, then ya got me why you're losing money.

      Hector doesn't steal money (b)that(/i) often. If you're losing cash every day you must have escorts.

      Ok, i tried to hail my escort (i think that's why i'm losing money), but i can't. How do I do it?

      Option + Tab, you'll get to him. Then just hail him and release servitude.

      Escorts aren't selected just by pressing tab. To select them, press option and tab at the same time, until you see a ship that says "Escort" where the government tag would be. 🙂 hope this helps!
