    • It's a go, VA. I like it. please email the PICTs to me. I already posted my email address elsewhere in this topic, so use that. Yeah I was thinking the same thing about game balance. I'll just make a new dude resource called "Modified ships" or something and have it appear in Dark Station's system and others.

      Entropy, your neutron ram looks like... well, it's hard to descirbe, but you'll see it in the beta version.

    • I just got an idea. Make a flare that lures enemy missiles to the enemy to attack them with there own stuff.

      I think you can do this. Have it have a 0 frame/shot rate of fire, and incredible inaccuracy, so any shot could come out in any direction.

      Having a large load of ammo, but having the ammo be free would be good, because it would launch ALL the ammo, so you'd have to land before you use it again.

    • Oh yeah, you could have a tiny ship from a fighter bay, that has one blaze cannon and is weak, but has one of the fighter bays that they're launched from, so it launches another, which launches another.....

      I know it's unrealistic, but dang that'd be fun. I'd just like to lead an enemy ship through a cloud of those little buggers.

    • Not such a bad idea ASC... But the ship fight bay would be exremely heavy, and the fighters in the bay would also be very expensive...

    • What do you think of a modificatin of your hyperdrive engine that would make it more powerful, so that the ship can jump in hyperspace closer from a planet (a reductor of the no-jump-zone radius of 200 to 300 pixels). However, it should be very expensive, because an hyperdrive is a precise and high-tech material.

      I disagree that the SAD should be decoyed by the flares. But, if you insist, I will surrender to your idea.

    • A Neutron blaster will shoot Neutron pods rapidly at 360 dr everywhere at other ships that are close in fireing range. And maybe there would be some way to slect certitant types of ships or goverment ships to shoot at. 🙂

    • I heard someone mention something about upgrades to your crew, giving you a better chance to capture ships.

      In Ares, I believe a few missions have an objective to release captured people, I don't remember exactly, but you would release a few marines into the staton/prison/whatever, and the people inside would be released and would be escorted back to the ship. Is something like this possible? I somehow doubt it, so I have another idea.

      What about "hiring" a squad of marines? Each squad consisting of 3 marines, weighing say 5 tons per squad. Each squad increases the chances of capturing a ship say 5-10%. Would either of these work? If this is possible, that would be VERY cool to see! 🙂

    • What about a super-shield?

      In Maelsrom (another fine Ambrosia product, I might add), the shield makes you impervious to asteroid damge, but it uses shield energy. Would it be posible to build a device for EVO that uses fuel but makes you invincible when it is on? Since this would be such a useful item, it would have to use a lot of fuel or be outlandishly expensive.

    • Ok, I have a question, and an idea. I'll ask my question first.

      Is your renegade station going to be human renegades? Or Crescent Renegades?

      And my idea is...

      I heard someone talk about a systems upgrade, combining a Density Scanner and an IFF Decoder in one package. I ws thinking, make it a complete systems upgrade. Put the Density Scanner, IFF Decoder, Sensor Upgrade, Miranu ECM System, Needle Jammer, and a Map Upgrade (Can't remember the exact name right now). I think there are more, but I can't rmember exactly right now. Have it cost around 2.5 Million or so.
