That's a good thought to keep in mind. Slamming people's posts and images is really discouraging to the designer, and it can also get you into trouble...

Whenever your karma gets lowered or raised, you should get an e-mail explaining it. Check to see what those e-mails say, and avoid doing the things that got your karma lowered those times.

Mods, how about closing this thread? It's absolutely pathetic. They sound like a bunch of children crying about their karma, while they hypocritically claim that they post not to get good karma, but to be "helpful"... bull. Anyone with an IQ above their own shoe size can see what motivates these people. This is the evo board, not a day-care center where you can piss and moan and get online support for the emotional trauma involved with getting your karma lowered.......

Hey, I think you had better keep in mind that when someone asks me a question, I do answer it. But yes, it probably would be a good idea to close the thread, because the conversation has gone a little to far. I'm sure, however, you would have a different idea about daycare centers if you had low karma, though.

Actually, it wouldn't. Karma has no power over me, except of course for the power of banishment. However, I don't let karma lead me around on a leash and influence the way I post. I've had low karma before.... very low karma. And I'll tell you, I'd feel the same way about this thread then as I do now.

Well, most people here at the boards do give karma some respect. When I see someone with low karma, I think "oh, they use profanity" or something like that. I hope that if you had bad karma, you wouldn't want people to think that of you. I sure wouldn't want people to say that about me! No, I don't let karma control me, but that dosen't mean it isn't important.

I think you need to re-read my posts. I was giving people tips on how to get there karma out of the dumps on almost all of them. This board kinda explains my point. People do give karma some attention, which is why this board has so many posts. The reason there are so many posts here is because people do NOT like bad karma...Unlike someone I know.

I don't think this is a "I want Karma!" topic. Sure, it was started with that subject in mind, but I really don't think you need to go far enough to say "goes off and cries for humanity's sake". Most of the posts on this thing are about UE General, and how a lot of people forgave him for being a bit annoying, and helped him get down to -4 or -3 Karma. I wonder how he's doing now.

Skyblade, I don't know who lowered your karma for that. It sounds like a mistake, and maybe they just lowered the karma of everything in the "pirate" thread. Moderators should sign their name when they give or lower karma, but not every mod realizes that their name doesn't show up on the e-mail (It took me a while to realize this). I'm glad someone fixed your karma again. Sorry about that. In the future, if there is a bad misunderstanding like that, or a question about why your karma was lowered, then ask the mod who lowered it, or if you don't know, send a very polite e-mail to the mods on the appropriate board and explain the problem and ask if they can figure out what happened, okay?
