    • Trying to find a plug-in...


      I remeber hearing about a plug-in that would make the computer players' AI a lot better... Like where a couple of UE fighters can take out a Crescent warship easy...

      anyone finds it Please tell me... if anyone has it, E-mail it to me, ok? i already looked in the add-ons section..

    • I don't think you could actually make the Al any better. To do so you would have to go into the actual program and change it, and I don't believe anyone has done that yet. I may be wrong, however.

      I know that its a plug, if you open a ship resorce in the docks or shipyards (im not sure which) then there is an option to change the ships' AI... maybe i'll make a plug-in to show you....

      No. There is no such plug. The only thing you can do is change the basic AI types for different ships, i.e. wimpy trader, brave trader, warship, interceptor. The only way there could be such a plug would be for Matt to postpone EVN to work on improving the AIs for EVO.

    • There is a AI upgrade to EV. The creator was ingenius in his tactics and transplanted the whole EVO AI into EV through the use of the plugin architecture resulting in a much more challenging environment:

      This plug-in upgrades the Ship AI to EVO 1.0.2's AI. This makes the game much more challenging. The first thing is the fighters behave differently. They will pull off a few different manuvers on you and just be a lot smarter in general. Just prior to the release to EVO 1.0.2, on the EVO Webboard, I heard one of the Beta Testers someone report on the improved AI. They said that they were flying a Crecent Warship (Kestral), and they were caught off-guard and destroyed by 5 Kraits (defenders with the speed of a Rapier). The other major thing was the ships were programmed to recognise the Monty Python, and they won't fall for it as easily. It's still possible, but you have to have a lot more skill to pull it off than you did before. Please note that this may affect other parts of the game, but proably not in a negitive way. This plug-in is compatable with all EV plug-ins, TC or non-TC, Even if the other plug-in's read me says that it is compatable with no other plug-ins. The only concievable plug-in this would be incompatable with would be one that did the same thing.

    • I acually found that AI inhancement plug, it was in the EV Addons section, not the EVO one. 🙂
