Please detail your problem. You're flying an UE-Destroyer and have problems defeating the Dreadnought?

How is your Destroyer equipped?? I have done this Mission with a Cresent Warship, without Fighter Bay, sold all Laser Cannons an have one SAD-Launcher and rest of the space was filled with SAD-Modules. Let the other UE ship do the first strike, keep away from the battle until you are the last one and fire all your SAD-Modules or Rockets to it. Saty away from the laser guns. This was the way i did it and i fud it not much trouble.
      Greetings Marcel

    • My strategy is to always be in a fast ship decked out with neutron turrets or guns. Forget blaze cannons, as they're only effective at close range. And if you go close range on the dreadnought you're going to lose.

    • geez, man! the dreadnaught was EASY! all you have to do is take out the fighters and the computer warships can take out the dreadnaught...

      measured just by success.

    • Redchigh speaks truly. The destroyers can clobber the dreadnought if they don't have those intercepters pounding on them. Best bet: Equip fast, guided weapons, such as pursuit missiles or even needle missiles, and when the Dreadnought launches its fighters, take them out, one by one. Don't bother disabling the fighters; the Dreadnought will just scoop them up and they'll come back, repaired and reloaded.

Here's an additional tip: If you haven't done the Voinian Defecter missions, do them, and when the destroyers escort you to Paaren Station, take a little "detour" out to Vorik, and let them take on the Dreadnought.

How comes you tried 25 times? You must be a real patient person. There is a lot more out of the EU-Space (the americans, no, (I mean the United Earth Forces)) - please, try finding the Miranu on the map (jump to the north-north-west, 6 to 8 jumps or so, that will be a start --- use a fuel scoop, that only needs patience.). As you can read from the answers to your original question, flying around in the Universe will help. The Miranu have phased-guns that will let the dreadnought look like a sitting duck (which it is....)
Just on the right top of the main message board you will find an underlined button called "search". Use it and search for "dreadnought problem". You will only get about five topics. They will help, I hope.
Keep your patience and you will have a lot of fun.

    • actually there are many ways to destroy the dreadnaught. But I do not remember them all right now. There is a search button and if you type in dreadnaught I am sure you will find more techniques than you will know what to do with. Good Luck. Mine was get a big ship and fill up with defence pods needles missles and attack after my destroyers are dead. I used 8 defence pod launchers and used the UE Cruiser, the Igadzra, the Miranu Heavy Freighter and I think thats it. But like I said there are other methods.

    • I took it out using a Lazira with, ok, not too smart, phase turrets. First I burned those little nasty interceptors, and then I moved on to take out the dreadnaught using the monty python. it took a hell of a lot of time, but i managed to do it.

      ------------------
Is EV Nova out yet? No? Then I'll go back to sleep...

    • Speed upgrades, afterburner, UE Cruiser, Dospect, Shield Enhancers, Neutron Turrets, and a lack of brains. That is what I used to kill the Dreadnaught. Hard little bugger to kill. But it was fun. You ever see a UE Crusier Strafe a ship at 300+ AU/Hour? That was fun. I ended up with about 5% Armor. I had done it before, and seen how big a boom it made, so I got the heck out of there before it went boom.
