It's in the game itself - no plugins needed - but it doesn't become available (or even get invented) until you complete certain missions. Keep working for the UE and you'll get there eventually. Good luck!

It is in the game, and you have do UE missions to get it. (I don't remember which ones at the moment.)

I didn't know the EU had a military wing already. I thought that it was still being formed. But apparently they already have a crusier.

I don't know where you find the EU Cruiser, but if you keep doing UE missions you van get the UE cruiser.

Specifically: after you've rescued the Voinian defector and started on the deliveries to Paaren Station, you soon get the rescue scoutship crew from planet in DSN-9418 mission. As soon as you have done that mission you can get the start of the UE cruiser mission thread from New Taranto spaceport bar. But don't leave it too long after that because I've found they tend not to give it to you after you've the UE mission with the cloaking device.

The missions to get the (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite/shipyard1.html#uecruiser")UE Cruiser(/url) are actually pretty simple once you manage to get a Crescent ship. I finished them in an (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite/shipyard3.html#arada")Arada(/url). They aren't that hard, and the cruiser is definitely worth it.

I thought that most people where welcoming the EU wing. I thought the only possible threat was that it could eventuly replace NATO. But they have been very carful and very assuring that it is not the case. But who knows, EU is a good name for a world controling power. Just change European Union to Earth United.
