      Does anyone else here think that you only being able to have a certain number of turrets or cannons is really annoying. I think that the game would be so much better if you could have, for an example, 4 phase turrets and 4 phase cannons.

      Someone else did. The plugin (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/plugins&file;=EVOFixer1.5.sit.hqx")EVO Fixer(/url) changes the way the game interprets the max guns / max turrets parameters. Without the plugin, if your ship has a maximum of 4 guns, 3 turrets, then you can have up to 4 guns, of which up to 3 may be turrets. With the plugin, a ship with the same specifications can have up to 4 fixed guns AND up to 3 turrets as well.
      EVO Fixer also makes some changes to other outfits, so you might want to check out the description on the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=evo&category;=plugins&display;=date&page;=2")plugins page(/url) before downloading it.

      Do AI ships get similarly upgraded when you use the fixer, or just the player's own vessel?

      I would guess it's just your own vessel; EVO Fixer only affects the pilot when he's buying guns and turrets, and the AI doesn't do that. In other words, the AI ships have fixed statistics.

      Shayborg's right! I use that plug 24/7/365/7584789347!!! But maybe we could change it so that the AI does the same with it's weapons... takes a up a whole snot-load of space though...

      Sorry guys, but if it makes your ship more powerful by allowing you to carry more guns, and it doesn't upgrade the enemy, it's a cheat plug. You're reducing the challenge of the game, which means you'll complete all your objectives too soon, and become bored of EV:O. You're robbing yourselves of a lot of enjoyment.
