Yes, it's far easier to get a very bad karma (just insult people) than to get a very good karma (I don't think blasting pirates here will help). I'd like too to have a positive karma, not just 0 (like in EV/O : I don't like when people are just indifferent to me).

I have a theroy about how to get Karma. You

A. Do something really horrible or spammy in the past(ex. October with his "THINK OF THE HATS!" junk and Titan with the Search Then Ask.)

B. Reform. You get Karma raised for being better then your normal. That's why there arn't a whole lot of people with good Karma who have never spammed or anything.

So they should get points for acting how they're supposed to act? That's like giving out cash awards because you've never killed anyone, albeit on a far lesser scale. Points, in my opinion, should be doled out for exceptional help that has been provided or doing a service to the current "community".

And karma is taken away for things that offend the stereotypical "normal" groups of people.

I award karma to people who go out of their way to help others, I can't speak for all moderators, but thats how I do it.

If someone says something bad about a moderator (same thing goes for everyone else, as well), it doesn't mean they will be punished for it. We do have freedom of speech in America. They may be punished if its inappropriately worded.
