I personally think having 7 or so bars is pointless...
I mean, every other day it seems like there is a new one. Why not only have maybe 2 or 3, each completely different. Bars can be fun, be I think we are overdoing it.

All this started when UE Patriot started the Council Station bar. All the newbies came at about that time, saw the bar, posted a few times, and then went off and made their own bar! You have to cut them some slack, but all these bars is excessive. I hope the mods have enough sense to close a few.

I have never and will never make a post in a bar (probably). I do however (very very very occasionally) look at them a little bit. And that takes me to the reason I don't post in them. They are really kind of stupid. No offense to anyone, I just don't like the concept.

I dont use the Bars myself...they just dont appeal to me. But forthose who use them, they must be pretty good, otherwise there wouldnt be so many posts to them.
At the end of the day, If you dont like them, then ignore them, but dont get some campaign going to spoil the fun of others.
I know no one here has suggested such a thing, Im just trying to prevent a snowball effect similar to that that happened with the search then ask rubbish.

Nostalgia just isn't what it used to be.
The bars are fun for awhile, but they also get old after awhile. So I think we should just let the newbies(or people who are new to bars) to have thier fun and just leave them alone.
The LBS series, however, was pretty good. It was good enough so I posted in it for awhile, but that eventually got old just like the rest of them. It would make a pretty good plug, though.

As long as the continued story strings (like the bars) stay in their own strings (and not attach themselves to someone else's non-story string, don't turn into flames or porn or bigotry, and stay at least sort of related to EV/O, I think we should let them be. Most of the story strings have "bar" or "story" in their subject heading, so it's easy to avoid them if you want to.
