I think we agree that kraits are something of a threat under certain conditions, but they are hugely overpriced. I can't imagine ever buying a trio of them and launching them into a firefight - my profits would immediately take a 150,000 credit dent.
Carried kraits contain much which is largely unnecessary; a hyperdrive system, fuel tanks, long range communications array, extended life support, cargo space...
I might speak to a contact of mine who runs an experimental shipyard. If parasite kraits had all the unnecessary bits and pieces deleted, they might be much cheaper, and somewhat lighter than conventional 'interplanetary' kraits. If we can engineer the cost for ship-launched kraits down to maybe ten or fifteen thousand credits, and lighten them such that five can be carried in a krait bay, then perhaps they would be more useful.
What do you think?
