I think you all know about all these "best ship/weapon/government" topics that always jsut end up being a bunch of flames. But there has been one topic on the board lately that has actually been going very well. (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum8/HTML/002232-3.html")http://www.AmbrosiaS...L/002232-3.html(/url) I was wondering if there is a way that we could have all the topice end up like this one. maybe all it took was just asking those four questions at the beginning(and people actually putting reasons for thier decisions(instead of just saying "UE Rocks! Voinians Suck!" for example).

I agree. This topic has been going extremely well. I also think those four questions had an effect, but purely because they where provided as examples as to what could be used to back up peoples answers (unlike the classic Confed/Rebel topic). Other polls that seem to work rather well are ones that have more than just two things you can choose from, such as the EV weapons poll:

Thank you everybody, but this topic (UE against Voinians) had been long prepared: I read the boards topics a long time, especially the confed/rebel topic, and I tried to remedy this. It has succeeded, no? Now we have enough talked about the UE and Voinians (I'll just try one time to bring it back to the front, then I will let it disappear), there is new topics to talk about. I wish them as much success as mine (more than 100 posts)!
