And Rooster, I'm sorry, but I DO give my people a lot of resources and I try to make them as happy as possible. I need to. With the Igadzra and Zidagar under my control, I must make sure they are happy and do not start a revolt. With the emense amount of planets I control, I can easily afford this AND build 60 gigaton nukes. Speaking of which, the only reason I had 130 of these 60 gigaton nukers was because I had been saving them up from the very point at which I started posting on LBS.

And there is another thing you overlooked, Rooster. At this point, I only have enough ships to have 1 offensive at one time. So, because I am (at the moment) busy with Corocian and Guardian forces near former Miranu territory, I cannot initiate an offensive against main Corocian space. Right now I am just fortifying my borders near UE Corocian space.

And just to cheer you up a bit, in a one-on-one battle, a Corocian Cruiser will probably beat an Azdgari warship. However, I deal with large numbers of ships. That is my strength. Numbers. Your ships have a bit more raw firepower, but in large hoards, my ships are much more deadly.

However, there is one thing I'm sick of: big wars with everyone. I may consider a cease-fire if the Corocians, Guardian Alliance, Kenienati, and Oasans can convince me them mean me no harm and will not suddenly try to squash me. So, if you want a cease-fire, and maybe even an alliance or total peace, try to convince me your nice and won't attack me the moment I stop attacking you.

The following is the current layout of technologies widely used and readily available:

SLIPCORRIDOR DRIVE
The slipcorridor drive, driven by a finite crystal supply, creates subspace incursions to allow vessels to pass through space at lightspeeds without the use of jumpstreams. This technology is used by most nations, but has been found difficult to adapt to Raman psychic mechanisms.

ANTI-ION ASSEMBLY
The Anti-ion assembly is originally a Corocian design but has been openly available to other peoples. It releases a steady field of Ions around a vessel, which protect subspace from instabilities. This effectively repels heavy damage from disruptors, but moderate damage can still be rendered upon the ship.

The following is a layout of current technologies owned and used by certain players:

DISRUPTOR BEAM
Owned by: Carnotaur
The disruptor beam is a mechanism which releases a large amount of energy upon a vessel by distorting subspace around it. This distortion can be repelled by Anti-ion assemblies on board Corocian vessels.

MESH DEVICE
Owned by: Lonevoinian
The mesh device dematerializes an object and sends the particles a short distance to a reciever at the target location, where they are properly reassembled. The object to be transported has to be set to the necessary frequency before transit can occur.

MULTIGRID SHIELDING
Owned by: Alien 5672
Multigrid shielding works by overlapping multiple shield matrixes onto one vessel by using several small generators at key points on the ship. This protects the overall ship more, but individual systems are more vulnerable.

PHOTONIC CANNONS
Owned by: Roostersw
Most spaceborne weaponry consists of nuclear bases (protons, neutrons, etc.) fired in a laser. Photonic weaponry, however, releases energy concealed within structures of these bases to inflict heavy damage upon shielding, while still allowing the energy space transit to it's target.

STAGGERRED HULL
Owned by: UE Patriot
Created by the Emalgha and issued to Patriot vessels, the staggered hull used strategically positioned, interlocking hull panels to protect the ship from breaches much more effectively than standard reinforced hull. This hull is tedious and expensive to put in but is perfect for the small Patriot fleets.

I still need reports from Rama, Oasa, Daedalus, Nova6, and 21st CDB on their technologies.

The following are records if the spatial conditions of the LBS universe:

SLIPBARRIER
The Slipbarrier runs along the edge of the galaxy, seperating known space from Raman, Rogue, Ancara, and Artaian space. The Ramans have used the areas black holes to reach the region conventionally.

BLACK HOLE
A common subspace disturbance, the black hole pulls matter around it into subspace, trapping it there. Ships have often survived the pull on their hull, and a smaller amount have been saved via slipstream. These are common around high subspace areas like the eastern slipbarrier.

SHIELD MATRIX
Nuclear energy has been used in space weaponry since the dawn of hyperspace, and shields are made up anti-nucleaic particles to attempt to repel these energies. However, current shields are only mildly protected against alternative weapons like photons, missiles, and other projectiles.

I can revise these and the techs soon, just thought this info might be useful.

CONTINUATION: The Zodiac was on it's way back to Earth where it would offload representatives from the Emalghans and Guardians for a conference. Comm: "Commander, we're recieving a transmission from your secretary, it's priority alpha." Rooster: "My secretary? Send it through." Saca: "Rooster, i'm sorry to bother you, but...Navida didn't come in or call today, and he was sent to a South Tip Azdgari world to get supplies from one of our associates, and--" Rooster: "Send me his lifepad signature, i'm going to find him." It was done, and Rooster went down to the bay where he boarded the C.X.S. Pultaq. He locked to the signature, in the Mavs system. The advanced cloak worked on the Azdgari, if not on the Ramans. The Pultaq landed on an industrial warehouse near Navida. Rooster tracked the signature to an alley where he found Navida dead and a torn shirt. Rooster looked at the shirt. It pictured two interlocking knives with Raman words written on one and Igadzra on the other. Rooster was quite fluent in crescent language, enough to read "Renegades Forever" on the igadzra one. A rifle was pressed at Rooster's back, and from behind a building and around the corner came a whole squad of Azdgari soldiers. Rooster threw his photonlance to the ground and was taken away....

My tech is quantum tech. It uses a quantum chamber to build a mysterious quantum charge. The outside of the chamber becomes highly electricaly charged and can be used as power. To be used as a weapon, tiny nuetrino particles are shot through the chamber in burst. The quantum energy is attracted to the neutrinos and follows them out towards and enemy ship. Upon impact the energy reacts violently with shields and armor. It is basically a standard energy weapon just very powerful.

Peon: Rama, the 100 ship Torlu fleet has penetrated deep into enemy territory undetected, they await orders.
Rama: Attack now, attack Aludra and Molos simutaniously.
Peon: Yes sir!
A two Rama Cruisers entered both the Aludra and Molos systems. Both scoutships contacted the system monitors and demanded surrender.
The commander of Molos monitoring station laughed and sent 5 UE Carriers and 3 destroyers at the Cruisers. "I thought you Ramans were supposed to be some sort of intellectually advanced race."
The UE ships had just begun firing when they became aware of 48 more cruisers coming up from behind.
The crews heard a voice in their heads. <Now, you will experience the might of the Raman empire>
Pain ripped at their skulls as their brains overwelmed with the power of neural amplifiers. Most of the humans went into shock and died. Aludra shared a similar fate.
The Ramans activated their quantum cannons and prepared to ravage the UE planets.

And then, Rama gets a communication from Carnotaur. "Stop your advance for a while. I've captured Rooster, and we might be able to use him. Wait until you hear of my interrogation report."

Meanwhile, Carnotaur himself goes to Igadzra, the Azdgari's highest level security facility, where Rooster is being held. In an interrogation room, Carnotaur, Captain Scorcher, and four Azdgari Elite Guards enter the room. Two guards are carrying special Azdgari Mind Scanners, which are designed to infiltrate someones brain and find out all that they know. It was mostly designed by the Ramans, who specialize in brain technology.

Anyway...

Carnotaur sits down at a table in the middle of the room. The guards and Captain Scorcher continue to stand, Scorcher holding the Mind Scanners. Rooster sits in a lone chair in front of the table.

Carnotaur then explains to Rooster what Scorcher is carrying and then asks the following questions:

1-"We know about your dead friend. What was his mission? Why did he go to an Azdgari planet while we are still at war?"

2-"What is the strength of the Corocian Navy?"

3-"What are your tactical plans?"

4-"Do you have any covert operations going on inside the Azdgari Empire? Such as spies or double-agents."

5-"Do you have any idea why your friend was killed?"

6-"We don't know. We are also confused about why those knives had to do with the Igadzra, which I conquered. Igadzra are not let out of their own planets. Do you know anything about this?"

Carnotaur demands the answers or he will use the mind scanner, a very unpleasant and sometimes painful proceedure.

An astonished sentry stationed on night guard pours out his Saalian brandy and gives up alcohol forever.

*Three miles long, glimmering white, free sex beer and drugs, armed with a Large Dangerous Cannon which is large and dangerous. It can't be shot at due to the fact it phases in and out of existence every nanosecond.

Meanwhile, Daedalus had been on the track of roostersw. First he went to earth but found that roostersw had left on a secret mission. Daedalus's mission was urgent and he quickly set about preparations to track roostersw. He followed roostersw's path of fuel exhaust. He ended up in the Mavs system where he soon discovered rooster had been taken captive and brought to the Azdgari homeworld. Daedalus boarded the Apollo's Arrow to rescue his one time enemy.

Daedalus landed the Apollo's Arrow on the dark side of Azdgari in a still unpopulated canyon. He sent a signal to five different targets in his ships hull. Soon after he was on a land transport with five suit cases in the back. Daedalus found the security base quickly.
"Apollo's Arrow, I have visual, initiating infiltration. Radio blackout in effect now." Unsheathing a pair of silenced blasters Daedalus approached the guards. He rolled a small EMP (electro magnetic pulse) grenade into their midst. A blue flash indicated that al electronics in the blast radius had been disabled including radio's. Powering up his blasters Daedalus decloaked. His silver warsuit glinted in the rising sunlight and his black cloak flapped in the wind. "Prepare to meet your maker Azdgaris." Daedalus unleashed a wirl wind of blue bolts and soon the guards were dead. Cutting off the hand of the captain, daedalus breached the outer security.
Daedalus dropped the suitcases and opened them. Out of each one a skinny skeleton frame slowly unfolded. Each contained a holo projecter and twin blasters. The holo projectors activated. Soon six Daedalus's walked down the corridor heading for the interrogation room.

"They will be a good target, but the Fighters can defend them at least long enough for them to recharge Mesh Weapons." "Good. Is the 'Bubble' class design ready yet?" "Tomorrow it will be. Production has started on the designed parts. Three of them are as done as they can be now. Oh, your Azdgari Dreadnaught will be done in another week. But all that is left is the super weapon on it. Other then that, it is done." "Good. You are dismissed."

Lonevoinian and everyone, as co-moderator I just want to point this out. Keep in mind the resources available to you. Lonevoinian only has three planets and some support from Rama. With your resources it would be pretty hard to build 300 fighters and an Azdgari dreadnaught. If you want resources, steal them. You can launch a campaign to aquire a resource rich world from an enemy. Then start building a super massive ship or two.

Excellent Daedalus! Everybody also needs to remember that to the players, all planning is public. The characters are the ones who shouldn't know.

CONTINUATION: Rooster persisted to ramble drunkenly to Carnotaur. The interface was placed on his head and he began to sleepily answer. Rooster: "Navida...was going to Mavs for...the resources, our contact. The navy...is heavily fortified...our war morale is low...only good defense. We...plan to retake the Guardian worlds...and if no peace...mass the Keninati...to strike the nebula." Carno: "Do you have inside agents? Who was this contact, and what was he for?" Rooster: "The Azdgari Financial Executive...the Miranu...is a high command lieutenant...he has been diverting funds...to the Keninati...through Navida and others. The shirt...had Raman and Strand Renegade markings...we think they are going to...retake Renegade territory. Very powerful...threaten all prominent empires...could be Raman incursion. Arrrhhhh!" Officer: "That's all we can get without killing him." The mechanism was shut off and Rooster fell unconscious. A soldier was thrown into the room as Daedalus came toward them.

To Daedalus: Rooster is NOT being interrogated on the Azdgari homeworld. He is being interrogated on the Igadzra homeworld. Oh, and unless you used some kind of super cloaking device, you wouldn't be able to even land on Igadzra. The Azdgari would have at least eight warships in the system. And it would be also very hard to get into the highest level security prison in all of the Azdgari Empire. The Azdgari aren't dumb. They'd have tons of special hidden tracking devices, cammeras, guards, hidden phase turrets for prisoner riots, and a whole bunch of other things including a 43,000,000 watt electric fence with barbed wire running the entire perimiter of the prison with 90 guards patrolling the perimiter as well.

To Rooster: Are you human? I'm not sure. And what species is everyone else? I'd like to know.

But anyway, I think I'll still allow Daedalus to infiltrate my prison, except he should make it much harder next time.

As Daedalus entered the room, Captain Scorcher, who was standing beside the door and now Daedalus had ignored him and walked right in front of the rather big and muscular Azdgari/Igadzra (Scorcher is part Igadzra and part Azdgari, but mostly Igadzra, he was a defector, joined the Azdgari) saw Daedalus and then jumped on him. The bigger and stronger Scorcher put Daedalus in a headlock as the other guards wrestled Daedalus's weapons away from him.

"What are you doing here? What do you want? Why'd you come here, to get Rooster? Tell me!" Carnotaur yelled. (just remember Daedalus, I can still use the Azdgari Mind Scanners on you if you refuse to tell me what you are doing).

The Azdgaris cooked daedalus up to the device, Daedalus began to spark, he flickered out of sight revealing only a skeletal from. The Azdgari technitions gapped in horror as 5 more Daedalus's walked into the room. A big gun fight ensued and there was only three fully functional daedalus's left. One of the definitely more skilled daedalus's walked up to Carno setting his blaster to stun. "Until we meet again traitor." A blue bolt issued from one of his blasters and Carno sunk to the ground. Drool trickled out of his open mouth.
"D3 and D5, pick up roostersw, we're going to have to fight our way out of here."

The four were running through a corridor amidst blaring security alarms. Guards were rushing towards them. "D5, distract the, we are going through the maintenance hatch." D5 ran at the guards taking three of them then he ran down another corridor with most of the guards after him. Daedalus opened the hatch and entered with roostersw and D3. They rested for a while then proceeded upwards. Daedalus had been tapping on the cieling every hundred feet and soon found what he as looking for. Setting his blasters on high, he cut a whole in the cieling. Rock and dust fell through revieling a noon time sun.

"Come ,hurry, they are going to have fighters after us soon." The Party found the tranport and began speeding to the Apollo's Arrow. Daedalus heard a screaming in the atmosphere and a sonic boom. "****" he thought "fighters". Daedalus floored it and weaved right and left all to no avail. A laser shot melted the front of the transport and threw the passenger out the front wind shield. Right before blacking out Daedalus saw something that made him very happy. Five silver darts glinted in the sky.

"In the ship hospital sir." A technician dressed in light blue stood over Daedalus. "We found you and Captain Roostersw unconcious near your transport. One of our fighters rescued you after dealing with your pursuit."

"Yes, he woke up two hours ago."
"Good, get me the bridge." "Bridge this is daedalus, what is our present status?"
<We are almost to earth, welcome back, you've been out for almost a week.>
"Thank you, I will be in a meeting with roostersw in MR-154 if you need me."
Daedalus got up and dressed in his officer uniform. He went up to the meeting room where rooster was.
"Roostersw, you have much to say. Why were you at Mavs and what were the Azdgari trying to find out from you?"

To daedalus: You are still making it a little too easy, Carnotaur wouldn't just stand their and get shot, he would fight back. And besides, they would have scaned daedalus and found out that he wasn't real.

2-Second, every needs security passwords to open or do ANYTHING in that prison. Energy Field Doors* would have been activated, hidden automatic AI Phase turrets built into the wall would have activated, and about 400 Elite Azdgari Storm Troopers** would have attacked you before you could even get out of the prison!

3-The Azdgari don't have just four Azdaras patrolling the Igadzra system. You would have to deal with EIGHT of them and more on the way.

4-Azdgari don't drool.

5-Carnotaur always wears either Azdgari heavy personnel armor or Rogue organic personnel armor. You would have to shoot him seven times to have any effect.

6-Carnotaur's physiology makes it so that you have to shoot him twice to actually stun him (remember, he's not pure Azdgari, he is an Azdgari/Igadzra/Zidagar mix).

7-Micro-sensors are placed all over the prison. Carnotaur would have known about the fake Daedalus.

8-Carnotaur isn't at war with YOU! You're neutral (or at least I thought so)! Carnotaur only wanted to know WHY you were comming there. He wasn't going to try to hurt you unless you did not cooperate.

Meanwhile (not in the Igadzra system) Carnotaur had immediately sent out orders to all his sector admirals of his new findings.

Admiral Yakiozsha (Zidagar defector) quickly began to speed up warship production to help protect Miranu space.

Admiral Iathan (Azdgari test pilot, found not to have died in the destruction of the Prototype Azdara) went personally to the South Tip and started directing fortification efforts.

Major Zivan (Igadzra defector in Azdgari Secret Service) went to Azdgari and arrested the Azdgari Financial Executive, a Miranu named Daevan. Interrogating him using the Mind scanner, Major Zivan found that Daevan was in fact a Corocian high command lieutenant, and that he had been diverting funds to the Keninati through Navida and others, although Zivan couldn't find out who those "Others" were. The traitor was then replaced by an Igadzra named Rovokan, an Major in the Azdgari FBI.

1 + 3: 8 ships in an entire solar system are going to find it quite difficult to find and catch up with a cloaked ship.

2: To get past security measures and guards, I would either destroy the threat/barrier , hack into and disable it, or cloak and walk by it. Also since I didn't know about force shield doors

4: I am sorry I said Azdgari drool.

5 + 6: Assume I shot you 9 times. I didn't go into real detail on the fight but I had 5 robots on my side with skinny frames, I would have probably won the fight. Unless you wanted to be killed you probably would not fight one the guards had been taken out.

7. Not if my robos were cloaked.

8. I am not allied with anyone. I wanted to talk to roostersw and had to rescue him from the enemy in order to do so. I think it was pretty obvious why I went there and was probably a good way to make enemies. I should have used diplomacy but the damage is done. If you noticed, I didn't kill you. You will have to decide how to react to Daedalus's actions. With war, or understanding, or just anger.

Those "Energy Field Doors" are kinda like force fields. They are a new Azdgari creation for high security prisons. They can be activated wherever the emitters are place. It also takes a while to blast through them.

When Carnotaur awakes he meets with Captain Scorcher.

Scorcher: "What do you think we should do now?"

Carnotaur: "Halt all offensives, but don't stop the fortifying of our borders. Send a message to Rama. Request reinforcements. If we can intimidate the Corocians a bit, we may not have to go into an all out war."

Carnotaur: "Very good. Make sure that all our borders and territories are heavily fortified, especially near the Corocians, in Miranu space, the Proxima Nebula, and the entire South Tip. Oh, and send a message to Admirl Denosk, head of the Azdgari Special Forces and Police."

Scorcher: "What shall I tell him?"

Carnotaur: "Tell him to go to Rooster and tell him that we have Daevan, and that if Rooster attacks us, we will immediately kill Daevan. Oh, and Scorcher."

Scorcher: "Yes"

Carnotaur: "Tell him, I also want Daedalus."

Admiral Denosk (a very sneaky and clever Igadzra) boarded the specially designed Azdgari Arada. It was his personnal ship, and it could take out a UE Cruiser single handedly. Denosk had made over 1,000 upgrades, enhancements, and changes to it. But it's main features were these:

1-Special Kind of cloaking device, Denosk's own creation, which cannot be detected by even Azdgari or Raman sensors. Denosk's cloak also didn't use up fuel, and was activated 24 hours a day. Only Denosk could deactivate it.

2-Three Disruptor Beam Cannons.

3-Shield Recharge: Denosk had modified his Arada so that in 45 seconds, the Arada could regenerate all of its shields.

4-Tractor Beam Repulsor: Another one of Denosk's creations, it slightly repels all tractor beams and gives him enough time to get away from enemy ships.

5-DNA Encoding: A special program created by Denosk, which made it so that only he could fly the Arada. The computer scanned his DNA, and only then allowed him to use the Arada.

Of course, Denosk's Arada had its limits. It was far from invincible, but Denosk had made it so that it was perfect for doing what his job required: Going deep into the very heart of enemy territory and carring out rather large covert operations, like capturing enemy leaders.

Denosk's Arada, the Avenger, took off from Igadzra and activated Denosk's special miniature Slipstream drive engine, and zipped away. Soon, he was in the Sol system, completely undetected. The Avenger glided down into the atmosphere. Once it landed (always under cloak), Denosk got out and activated a special personnel cloak device. Denosk then sneaked into the building where Daedalus and Rooster were. Once inside, Denosk went undetected to the room where Daedalus and Rooster were. He had to wait until the right moment to decloak and capture Daedalus. For now, he just wanted to hear their conversation.

As he entered the room, Denosk saw Daedalus and Rooster talking...

Just three notes here:

1-Denosk cannot be detected by any means. Any phychic sensors could not see him, because Denosk always carries a special Raman Phychic Amplifier device which Denosk uses to make sure that any detectors can't see him.

2-No one can control Denosk. If anyone does, I will make sure it is revoked.
