Imagine this, you have just boarded a rather awesome ship, and you definitely want to make it yours, or you want it as an escort, you click the capture ship button and...
You can't have anymore escorts... you already have 6 lame freighters...
Now, I've lost many keyboards to this (Insane bashing), and then today I stumbled across the idea "Hey, if they put a limit in here, there must be a way to expand it!"
and since EV IS such a flexible game... I'm capable of making a plug... But this is really above my standard, if you know what I mean
I've looked into all the data files of EVO and I just couldn't find anything related to the subject... Maybe it's integrated somewhere or something... I don't know...
If you know the answer to this one, I'd be VERY grateful!!!!

However, Black Beard, if you capture a person which has a bunch of cool stuff, once you make it your ship it returns to the default ship.

If you have the humungous amount of time and the enormous skills it takes to decompile ev and putup a hex patch. Good luck on that, by the way.

Otherwise... it's hard-coded, it's not a limit based on some resource. You can't change it.

Tis true, but even the smallest changing the base code of a program would radicaly change the program itself.. hence such a small change as that would be next to impossible....

It's like changing the foundation of a building after it has been built... one small brick can make a huge difference.. so it's very hard to get exactly what you want...
