Hi, I've currently got a maxed out CW but am tempted by the UE Cruiser that Anna so kindly designed.
What do you recommend?
I previously owned an Igazra but found it appallingly slow...would I still be able to outrun stuff if I owned the UE cruiser with all the Miranu upgrades?. Money is not a problem as I have about 12m credits.

Well, the Cruiser has more weapon space and a better fighter bay....but the CW has more speed and is better suited for carrying phase tech. If I were in your position and I'd done the UE missions, and can thus get dospect armor at Paaren Station, getting a pumped CW with a layer of that would be very tempting for me. Its a tough call---the UEC and the Crescent Warship are my two favorite ships in all of Override.

A Cruiser is slower than a similarly equipped Igazra, isn't it? I like the UE Cruiser for its weapon space, but it is rather slow, so it gets kinda boring sometimes. I tend to go with the Igazra if I chose their side in the strand war mainly because it's a good compromise between the speed of the CW and the power of the Cruiser, albeit without a fighter bay. If I recall correctly, it has twice the shielding of the Warship and is, probably, faster than half the CW's speed, so...

I would take the UE Cruiser simply because of it's much higher armor and space.

I wouldn't want to fly either one. I prefer a Lazira or UE Destroyer. But if I had to choose, the CW is better without a doubt. The UE Cruiser has tons of firepower, but it is butt slow, and you'll find yourself getting swarmed often.

Why?? if you capture one, it means you're not working for the Aggies in the strand war.... meaning you can't ditch the fighterbay... meaning that you're losing 160 tons of space......

Well then work for the Azdgari, they give you cool upgrades, besides you could always keep the bay and use the fighters.

If you don't work for the Aggies, it's pointless to have an Aggy Warship... and about using the fighters... yeah, but they don't last forever.... and when they die, you're not gonna be able to refill..... (unless you work for them)..

The (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/dsghosh/shipyard1.html#uecruiser")UE Cruiser(/url) is probably a better ship because of its armor and sheer firepower, but I personally prefer the (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/dsghosh/shipyard3.html#cresw")Crescent Warship(/url).
