Well, I was thinking... perhaps we should start an EVO walkthrough page. (maybe there is one, I don't know....)

That is... we get someone to run it... and any player who wants to would post walkthroughs for missions.... a walkthrough all the strand strings, the UE string (might have to be split up), the nebula exploration string, Free huron, Renegade missions, Zacha, etc, etc.

Maybe some plugs (as in, props) from Ambrosia would get this thing off the ground.... eh?

I'm willing to do the html work for the main part... but, I'd need people to write up walkthroughs... I've done one for the Voinians, but I need the rest. Anyone willing to help this noble cause? Drop a line to offices of Flatulence, inc @ fgpeters@qwest.net

Well, I guess it's not rally what you wont hear, but I think that the waklkups for original EV/O s...k. The original games are not that difficult, to ask for a help. And what's the point in playing if you know what and how everything gonna happen?

I suggested something like this a couple of months ago except under the title "spoiler site" or something similar, it never took off though.

That's going to be basically what the missions part of my site's going to do. But I'm still working on the shipyard, so who knows when I'll get to the missions...until then, this is probably a pretty good alternative. Something like this idea is already set up at (url="http://"http://hammerand.virtualave.net/ev/miss/index.html")http://hammerand.vir...miss/index.html(/url) , but it's not complete, and doesn't look like it's been updated in a while...

Yeah, Will did a pretty good job, but I don't think that site will ever be finished... I'm willing to put some time and effort into this if I can get user submissions for mission walkthroughs...

It's a horrible idea, for a large number of reasons. But the only one that you'd understand is that people will post questions on here anyways. Your page would not be on Ambrosia's site, so it would not be an official source for information. Most people who are going to ask questions aren't going to hunt down personal webpages which may or may not have the answers they seek. Particularly when there's a forum for their questions right here.

If you don't want to answer questions, then don't. Nobody's forcing you to read and respond to every single post.

I really do not understand why you're so ****** off with those people asking "stupid" questions on the board. I remember being a newbie and searching like mad for "Anna B.".
It ruins the fun when you're stuck and just can't go on. On the other hand, those guys who are asking all the time- being too lazy (or impatient) - are spoiling their own fun. They won't be long on the board because they soon will be bored.
So what? And me for my part, I am looking at who's posted a topic and who's answered, and wouldn't it be a pity if a topic posted by Flatulence wouldn't be worth looking at anymore because he is calling other people "f***in' A."
We need the newbies, without them the board would be boring.

umm.. first off, I called him a "jackass"... F***in A is not a direct insult to anyone. it's something you say when you're pretty much in shock. Like I was. You see, everyone's a critic these days. I don't usually stoop to insulting people on webboard, it's rather a waste of time... but, when someone comes off that strong, you need to let them know how you feel........

As for the board needed newbies.... sure. New people turn into old people, and thus the cycle repeats. However, getting the same questions over and over again sucks. Now, I do realize that telling newbies who post survey questions to search is pointless..... 1. they're new (hence, that's why they post the questions, they think it's something new and original) and 2. because they're new, they wouldn't know about the search feature. Yes, that part is futile, but I do it anyway. It even works sometimes. You see, now, I bet you know all about the search feature. I don't do this to be an ass, I do it because getting the same questions over and over again really gets annoying.

Also... I don't get ****** at people who ask questions (not stupid questions, mind you.. I never call questions stupid. I call them worthless (you see the difference?) Anyway, no I don't get pissed. I try to find some witty way to get them to search for the answer. However, some idiot always comes along and answers the question anyway, and that's when I get ticked off. But, whatever.
