I noticed my money being slowly drained, and realized I had some useless escorts that I tried to use as shields while running a bloackade. I can't figure out how to release them! I can't target them and communicate or anything! Help! I need that hiring money

Look in your options...there's some weird button combo you can use to release escorts.

I can't think of anything else to write...

Push Option-tab instead of just tab untill you have selected your escorts then hail then and push the release escort button.

well I'm emulating it on a PC so option-tab becomes alt-tab which minimizes the window. I tried changing the key for target to "U" or something and hitting alt-U but it didn't work. Hmm.

Then you need to attack a bunch of Iggys or Voinian ships so that your escorts get killed. Sorry.
