      Can anyone ID the ships in EVO's splash screen? I'd guess that a UE destroyer and some fighters were attacking a Voinan frigate and a Crescent warship, but:

      -the Voinan's coloring is off
      -What are those fighters underneath the C. warship?

      Any ideas?

      I personally think there is: 1) 1 UE Destroyer 2) 2 or 3 UE Fighters (I forget the number) 3) two Voinian frigates 4) 1 destroyed Voinian frigate 5) 1 Crescent Warship 6) two Crescent fighters.

      Thats what I think, other people disagree.

      My questions are simply "Why the hell didn't they use THOSE graphics?" and "Why does the EVO music suck such an unbelieveable amount while the EV music was too cool to behold?" Ah, well; that's what MAGMA's for... 😉

      You want my opinion?Sounds weird but I think the Destroyer is the Incontrovertable and you are maybe supposed to be the CW.Just a thought though.

      Well, you could have gotten it free at (url="http://"http://www.freedsl.com")www.freedsl.com(/url) (in some areas) so it doesn't really matter if your dad's company is paying for it. So ha. 😉 Unless, of course, you're outside a service area...

      I get the idea that this is some old idea for graphics that looked cool. I think what it was originally intended to be two Voinian fighters* (yes, I think it's fighters not frigates, even though they have the same basic look as a frigate), one destroyed Voinian fighter, one UE destroyer, three UE fighters in the foreground, three UE fighters in the background attacking either Crescent warship launching it's fighters, or a turncoat launching it's kraits OR the Voinian dreanought launching it's interceptors. This does sound kind of odd, but I do think that it really is this.

      *They look like fighters to me because they are at an odd angle, they are in a line, and the little domes at the front and the back look like fore and aft cockpits.

      the Splash Screen has always been strange to me as I see ships there that aren't in the game, maybe it's an image of The Battle Of Sol.

      And the screen was made before the game was completed, so all those ships were prototypes...
