    • How do...

How do you get the BTC to work?! I tried going to PS but it doesen't give me anything. I have completed the UE central objective.

      SPOILERS PLEASE!

      Thanks.

Some of you guys know me from the Ares board.

    • The mission might not have a very high availability. You may need to hyper out then back into of the system, then try to get the mission again. You can also accept a mission, then abort it and try to get the bar mission again.

    • The ONLY way to reset the mission list (ie see if it's available) is to complete or abort a mission. It's a common misconception that hypering out and back into a system will reset the mission list. Sorry this is spam, but I want to be more than a "junior member." I wonder if you're a "senior member" once you post over 50 or 100 times?

Althouh this has already been said about ten times, it's about 20 to 25 posts.

    • so you're a junior member. big deal. 20 posts are nothing on this board. get over your status. it doesn't mean a damn thing.

as for that senior member bull, there is no such thing. junior to full-fledged. end of discussion.

    • i stand corrected in the senior member thing. there is a poster out there with grand high mucky-muck (or very similar) rank. what it is escapes me for the moment.

    • It's rather amazing that people care so much about this "status" thing. Anyway, there are four official levels of status in this web board system:

      .....

Junior Member -- Scrub -- you're new to our web board
Member -- Veteran -- you've posted 20 or more messages
Moderator -- Overlord -- you are an Ambrosia-appointed board admin
Administrator -- Central Scrutinizer -- you are all-powerful on the web board

      .....

I can change what the Status title is at any time, but the meaning stays the same... and it is possible to banish people to eternally be scrubs if they act too annoying (as well as ban them by eMail address or by IP if necessary).

    • Thanks, andrew!!

P.S. Scrub sounds like 'Gold five, here's a shuttle. Scrub it! KA BOOM' to me. But in 7 posts, I think I'll become a Member.

      It snowed!!

Oh, AirPlane, get all the missions in the mission comp, and delete them 1 by one and keep looking in the bar.

Actually, I just tried it twice and got the mission list re-setted each time.

    • It would appear to me that there are really only three levels on this board. I would count andrew's status as the president of the company not as a level really. He's more like the controlling interest of the board, not really a memeber per se. Only opinion though. Are there other "administrator" types out there. I've only seen andrew's posts personally and he's the only one I've also seen personally that says "administrator" under it.

    • Man, you sure dredge up out -of-the-way topics. Get something better to do with your time.

Anyway, the story is that for a fairly brief period of time, there were these 'status' names, as you can see above. Your status depended on your number of posts.

This led to huge amounts of spamming to increase status and equally huge amounts of complaints about it.

andrew understandably got pissed and removed status labels; now everyone who registers is simply a 'member,' excepting moderators and administrators.
