Please help! I keep on trying to download plugins of this site onto a floppy. I am using a crappy ms-dos (PC) at work to download them to a PC floppy but when ever I put it in my mac it is all ms-dos (PC) files and my escape velocity overide game doesn't want any thing to do with it. Do I have to use a mac on the net to download correctly? What should I do (if any one understands this anyway). PLEASE ADVISE.

    • Sorry if I get a bit technical here... but EVO plugins use the resource fork pretty much completely. Therefore, if you put them into a PC (which doesn't support resource forks) - all the resources get chopped off. Which means there's effectively nothing there.

However, if you get them compressed as a .sit, or whatever, file, you should have no trouble getting them to your mac. You just have to unstuff them first.

I assume you have in fact unstuffed them?

Often when you download a file it can be converted to Hqx, look for a file with a .hqx at the end of the name and copy it to your HD, then unstuff it with Stuffit Expander, sadly Stuffit doesn't always automatically recognise hqx file.
