It only shows you're online if you've posted in the last 10 minutes or so, I believe.

Gosh, people are so quick to scream "bug" without understanding what is really going on...

Unfortunately (or fortunately ) this isn't a bug of ours. First of all, I didn't write the "online/offline" hack to UBB, I merely adapted it to our web board. Secondly, it seems to be working as expected. What throws it off is if your web browser or your proxy caches web pages.

Try shift-reloading a page or dumping your cache if you want to see an up to date version of a page (with the proper online/offline indicator).

I have the same light bulb problem, but it shows when other people are on, so big deal. If I need a light bulb on the screen to tell me I'm online, then the light blub in my head is probably off.

HELLO.... look at an older post you have made. If you are using the same ID as when you last were on the board, all your messages will show you to be online. The reason new posts show you not to be online is because they have just been posted, the cgi needs to set variables, parse them to cookies, and in turn, your browser needs time to understand this data.
