I posted this on the Newswire, but why not post it here? Anyway, I have an idea for a plug, and I've got the general story finished, but I need some help.

Graphic making people (I need ships, outfits, planets, everything)
Someone to help me with the plot, I have the basic stuff, but I need some details.
Someone to check the Res-Edit coding and the spelling.

Here's the story so far:
Mankind leapt for the stars as it did to all other frontiers (that just had to be in it :p) and colonized planet after planet, system after system. Soon they reached the Aqua cluster, a nebula full of H2O, causing it's worlds to be full of water, full of live.
After centuries of peace, humans had forgotten the art of war, but their empire spanned thousands of worlds. Then the Quen'sha arrived. Humankind struggled to survive, dismantling all kinds of equipment, rebuilding deadly weapons from times far in the past.
Alas, with that, they made their own fate. As security systems grow old, cannibalized by human soldiers, accidents occured. One of them was catastrophic. The Aqua Nebula, center of military might, got cut off from the outside world. The panicking citizens grew into two camps: the Keepers, who wanted to become part of the Central Human Government again, and the Ionay, the people that tasted freedom and who would never want to lose it again.
This is were you come in. Just out of the Ionay Military Academy, you are assigned a fighter, and a mission: keeping the Keepers from winning...

Details. That's what you're gonna need to post if you want any help. And you'd probably get a response if you tried posting on Blazer's Alternative EV/O board. I know Ambrosia don't like it much, but there are plenty of people there, and, with the possible exception of Typhoon, they're all fairly helpful.

I'm fairly adept with ResEdit coding, but don't enjoy it too much. I'm currently unable to help with graphics, but hope to get Infini-D back soon. I'm a bit of a wannabe writer, so anything along those lines is probably my "speciality".

The first thing I want to know when someone asks for volunteers is: what other projects has this person been a part of, or preferably coordinated.

If you're an experienced plug creator, say so. Name the plugs and we'll probably all get excited about the project and innundate you with offers of assistance.

If, on the other tentacle, you're new to the world of EV:O plug creation, then this convertion, as described, is probably too ambitious. If all you're bringin to the party is the 'general story', people might be - understandably - reluctant to join forces with you.

So, if you have previously created a plug or two - even a small one like 'Mars Colony' or something, it shows everyone that you can do the job. Better a realistic objective that gets achieved than a massive plug that never gets finished.

Well, to be honest, I never made a plug. This won't be a large conversion, though. I currently am working on the descriptions of planets, ships weapons, etc. Ionay space is finished, as well as ships, and weapons almost.

If you've never done a plugin before, even a little one like my QuitFE, nobody will really trust you. My suggestion, therefore, is to go and create about five small plugins (should take you only a few hours) - post them, then try again.

I'd almost guarantee you a good response from most of this lot.

However, as it is, you're probably being too ambitious.
