    • Need help with The Frozen Heart!

HELP!! I'm on the last mission in The Frozen Heart plug-in, where you have to drop the Neutron Bomb into the Black Hole to destory it, and I can't do it! Can anybody tell me exactly when and where to drop the bomb so that the Black Hole is destoryed and the universe is saved? Thank you!

      God bless,

Oh geez. This is probably the trickiest flying you'll ever have to do. It took me something like 20 tries before I managed it the first time.

It goes something like this (it's been awhile): fly backwards in the direction of the black hole, when you're just within range of its beam launch the bomb and accelerate the hell out of there! Killing the Black Hole is actually easy -- it's not getting caught in the backdraft that's hard. I think that's what I did -- somebody will be sure to correct me if not! 🙂

    • I've played EVO since 1.0.0., and I can tell you this mission is one of the hardest ones around. It is TOUGH.

What I do: get a direct line of sight with the black hole far away, then accelerate forward top speed (at the tachyonic's high speed the black hole's beam won't be able to kill you, since you will already be long gone). When I'm getting close I unleash the bomb, then pray that my timing was perfect and that an asteroid doesn't get in the way. If the black hole falls off your scanner, you've know you've won.

Sorry if that's a lame strategy, but its the best I can do. There's no trick to make it easy, you just gotta go for it. If there was ever a mission where timing counts, its this one.

      Good luck.

    • Nah. That Chimera mission in Femme Fetale was harder.

    • Chimera was waayyy easier because it can be beat by a cheap trick (involving just one gladiator escort and remote commands). There's no "trick" to beat the black hole. Just some basic tactics and a lot of praying for luck.

    • Only timing, thats for sure.
And Chimera msn. is one of the easiest in the EV/EVO plug-ins.

    • I have to agree. The Chimera is very easy (and supposed to be) once you've worked out how to do it.

    • Huh? I never messed with the black hole in FH... I better get back there... Where does the string begin??

And I agree, the Chimera was easy once you got the hang of it...
