    • My brand spanking new Crescent Warship


      So..... I got tired of flying around in my slow ass Cruiser, so I bought me a nice new quick agile lovely Crescent Warship.

      And, I was wondering.... whatever shall I do with it?

      I currenltly have 3 Crescent Warships, 1 Voinian Cruiser, and 2 Azdgari Warship as escorts.... so, I was thinking, that there fighter bay that came with the warship is pretty useless.

      And I was also thinking "gee.... phase turrets kinda blow"..

      so, therefore, I got around to thinking "what shall I do now?"

      I was thinking that I could ditch the fighter bay (lots of nice space) and then ditch the phase turrets..... (gives me an extra 80+3(20) = 140 space)
      and then pick up 4 ummm.... this is weird. I'm forgetting the name of the voinian turrets. The purple firing ones. Sheeeesh. It's getting late. Anyway, I was wondering, what else should I add to this ship? Is there any secondary weapon really worthwhile? Or, should I just let my escorts do all the heavy work? Right now, I have these extras:

      all the normal sensor/escape pod, etc, etc stuff, 2 fuel scoops, 2 fuel tanks, RCS Upgrade, Thrust Upgrade, Engine upgrade, 4 shield enhancers, 2 mass expansions, Zidagar ECM (leaves me at 40 cargo space).... and that's about it.

      Suggestions? Thanks.

      Anyway.... I put 4 neutron turrets on..... the only problem is that neutron turrets have problems locking on to targets..... especially small little fighters... but, then again, just a few bursts disables them.

      I left the fighter bay in, it's useful for when I'm demanding tribute (defense fleet attacks YOU, not your escorts or fighters)

    • SADs or SAEs are pretty good. Hunter Missiles stink and Pursuit Missiles are powerful enough and they don't have nice enough range. It really depends on where you'll be hanging around.

    • My SAD launchers in the past just haven't liked me much.... the modules get sent out, but they just kinda drift randomly or hit an asteroid.... how come enemy ships have such damn accurate launchers??? :frown:

    • I'm right there with you on that one. It seems that in 1.0.2 all homing weapons except for the hunter missiles have become pretty much useless. Shame, too.

    • Yeah, get Hunter Missiles, for some reason they can't be jammed in 1.0.2, dump the bay and get a Rocket turret if you intend hanging around Human/Voinian Space, then get Neutron Turrets and Phase Cannons and do the Azdgari Missions to get their upgrades.
