Okay, I've completed the Igadzra missions, the Hinwar missions, all of the UE <of course>. I can't find anything else to do. I've explored both nebulas. Where should I go next? And is it possible to ever make peace with any of the other strands? Thanks in advance.

First, UE and Hinwar are the same string. They both go for the UE central objective.

Second, you're done with all central objectives that are open to you. The UE, The nebula, and ONE of the strands. Once you have done one, you can not do the others, unless you have the tri-agent plug-in...

All I can say is go try to find some small strains or get really rich...

You should start another pilot and choose different sides.

Or if you have the right type of ship or fleet, you could do the dominate-the-galaxy
thing, which is both amusing and tedious.
