    • how do you target an escort in EV?

      Help me pawn them off

hello everyone. my windows has been emulated to run like a mac
(only when I tell it to). Now i can play EV 😄 (bored of Nova). i have unfortunantly run across a probklem that i wish to solve. when i capture a ship, select it to be myescort, and cycle through my targeting system i can not target my escort again.
i am looking for a way to posibly re-target him and sell him or release him.

i would like to know how and need help. thank you.

Check the controls in the menu. I think there is a special combo for escort selection... (haven't actually played EV in a while, my mac is a 1993 junkbox) but I don't remember it right now. most likely tab+something else.

    • The combination Mr. Moose is talking about is option-tab. For you, it's probably alt-tab. I don't know if this changes because of the Nova port.

    • hey it didn't work. i know i am using an emulator but, there is also no selection in the set preferences either.

    • 😞
      Tough space cookies, pal.

You could try to get your escort killed by pirates...
      😄

    • What you seem to be looking for is option-target. Target is set default to tab. No selling escorts in EVO. That came about with Nova.

It seems you need a new target key so you don't switch programs. I'd be interested to see what Basilisk would think if you pushed the windows key. Not something I've tried yet.
