A flashing map problem
Hi! I just got EV for several days. For the second time, on the map, the entire map flases with specks of green. I know that this isn't other planets or ships. Should I reinstall?
This only happens on several systems
ie. nemisis

I'm using an older imac (color on the outside) and it started happening when I bought a density scanner. I tried selling it and it still turns green. I dont know what porting is.

What OS are you using?
Porting means you're playing regular EV though Nova or Override. Are you doing this now?
monkey: flashing green specks? Sounds like radar interference from a nebula. What star system are you in?
DE: It has nothing to do with porting, this kid's just startled by something we all know and hate: radar interference.
monkey: When you're in certain systems, especially some border systems, ones in nebulas, and occasionally, ones with asteroids, radar interference occurs. It's a prome place to be attacked by pirates, so be on the lookout.
DE: I think the thing about it only happening in certain systems is the key here.
monkey: To conclude, there is nothing wrong with the game, it's just a built-in feature to make navigating more difficult in some places.

Ah, okay. I though he was referring to the whole game screen!
As Dash said, it's nothing to worry about. Sometimes when you talk to traders, they tell you to watch out for interference because pirates can hide. Good advice.
Im am using OS 9.4.4 i think. I am not porting and I am in nemisis and somewhere else. Thanks guys for all your help!
