Who has herd of the Satellite of love cheat? if so does it work?

and its somthing like, "Hold sol at the title screen to eventually find the satellite of love in the shipyard"

Don't bother, it's just a picture that appears in the shipyard section, and could lead to you trading in your cool ship for a brand new shuttlecraft. Hence, it isn't really real. It's got all the data in the EV Data file, except that the ship file for it is a shuttlecraft instead of something different.

If you want to see it, just hold shift-s-o-l at the title screen.

Apparently you hold shift-s-o-l at the title screen and you will eventually see "The Satellite of Love" in the shipyard. I remember trying this a few years ago, and as I recall, it's totally pointless.

Why they call it a "cheat" is beyond me.

The Satellite of Love is a reference to Mystery Science Theater 3000, if you didn't know. (url="http://"http://www.mst3kinfo.com/")http://www.mst3kinfo.com/(/url) will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about MST3k.

It only exists as a shipyard pic. Its a que to MST2k or something like that, it doesn't have any other resources attached.

I suppose the forklift could be considered an easter egg, in a way, although it really is a cheat.

The haiku can be considered an easter egg. Hold 'X' while the game loads and a box full of haiku will pop up at the main screen. There are also a lot of references within the game itself, such as the THX-1138 system ( THX-1138 was George Lucas's first movie) and the planet Dune in the Arrakis system (an allusion to the Frank Herbert book Dune ).
