    • Money Ships

I've noticed that ConFed frigates escorted by two patrol ships, and Rebel Destroyers escorted by two Mantas, usually carry 100K - 200 K credits, (Payroll ships ??) Also Confed, and Rebel Cruisers, escorted by two or three Frigates/Destroyers usually have 500K - 1000K credits. Any other ways of identifying gov't money ships ?

Indeed. Lone military ships (dudes) never carry anything except possibly ammunition. Fleets and persons, on the other hand, usually carry a lot of stash (more than you'd expect for a military ship, since I think the amount of money they have is related to their ship value, and Confed frigates and cruisers are incredibly expensive). Still, the best ships to snatch cash off are pirates, since everybody loves you for doing that (it's a nice way to gain some positive ratings with independant planets after you've been on a world domination spree, as well as making a few credits on the side)

    • Yeah, some of the pirate pers ships (Greenbeard, etc.) can be extremely lucrative given the difficulty in destroying them - taking out an Argosy with extra missiles isn't much harder than taking out a normal Argosy, and you get huge amounts of cash as a result. 😄

Pirate pers Argosies also come with a pair of Hawks, but that doesnt make them much harder to destroy still. What about pers Lightnings? There is someone called Lars Magna, for example.

    • Pirate Kestrels. Most I've gotten had around 200k, and if you get them with a lightning or two in their bay, those're worth 1mil each. Or, if you disable both lightnings you can use a tractor beam (if you have one) to pull it into the Kestrel's fighter bay. 🙂

    • Pirate Kestrels are more lucrative ... cuz you don't have to waste the time going back to a Lightning Bay outfitting system. My best Kestrel hunting grounds are NGC-1592, one system away from Pirate's Cove -- and
NGC-1027, the New Atigua system for Pirates. (Although at New Antigua you have to put up with taking a lot of Corvettes and Argosies too. (Darn!)

    • Sticking around a system with mass amounts of small pirate ships, isn't that bad. That's how I usually get cash... off Argosies, Clippers, Corvettes, and sometimes Kestrels.

depends on your style. If you need a fast ship then get a corvette. If you just want raw firepower then get a kestrel.

Doesn't he come equipped with an escape pod? So when you destroy him, he comes back, and goes right for you? I'm sure that happened to me...
