      I have some plug-in requests for whoever is willing to make them, I could have sworn I already posted this topic but can't find it, sorry if any moderators get annoyed, anyway here they are:

      1. A buggy cloaking device, with the option to make the ship visible (has to do with that problem someone mentioned about not being able to see their ship and because I want a multi-player plug-in so that anyone you're playing against can't see you)
      2. Omni-directional repulsing force or weapon
      3. Anti-cloak ray or energy burst device
      4. Wide screen sensor dialog (so you can see any far away wormholes especially)
      5. Far away asteriods, planets, derilict ships to commandeer, bases, and nebulas you can hide in or that make it harder for missiles to hit you or for enemies to find you
      6. Antigravity engines that make it so your ship stops on the spot
      7. Customization places to modify the appearance of your ship
      8. Visual modifications corresponding to the outfits you put on
      9. Name of your ship displayed on the console
      10. Console displayed vertically
      11. Sensor displayed as a free floating or coming from the console holographic display, I got the idea from Deep Space, a true 3D space shooter made by Psygnosis, pretty cool console, if anyone ever sees the deep space console please make that version for ev nova please
      12. outfits specific for the cambrian and sprite because they suck as warships
      13. I dual targeting weapon of whatever sort you imagine, I suppose holding down ctrl would make it work
      14. A smart targeting laser/ray whatever that hits any thing in your immediate area in sequence or whatever gets closest to you in a specific perimeter
      15. A phase shifting device allowing missiles to pass through you
      16. A cloaking phasing device (guess where that idea came from)
      17. An ether engine (for us rare believers in the ether)
      18. A missile and purple ball of light attracting thingy that comes from scarabs ships etc, so that you can hang around while they fire that stuff. It could be launched from a cannon that fires the tricky things, how long they last up to you.
      19. Some super expensive armor that gives you a chance to destroy a Krypt mind if that is even possible
      20. A battery specific for shields
      21. Regenerative nano-armor
      22. Ship seperation allowing the escape pod to actually be of use to reincarnaters (I'm sure that's everyone). For example you could get this special ship to detatch and choose to be in the heavily armored or low armored heavily weaponed part, and if destroyed the escape pod shoots you into the other part of the ship wether it is far away or not, and you can watch it travel and plug-in (haha) into the other section. It would also be cool if you could launch your pod wether you are destroyed or not for example if you wanted to use one section of the ship as bait.
      23. Distinguish the aur. houses ships, it would make it look more sensical to newbies like me who wondered why in the hell they would attack eachother now and then even though they weren't pirates, and no I didn't bother to master the different house names, they are too weird, so don't mention that to me.
      24. Armor degredation nanites, be cool if you could fire a missile filled with nanites that chew away at the ships armor or disabling it without even degrading all of the armor, like eating a holes through the armor and the air leaving the ship killing the crew.
      25. Armor / shield generator repairing nanites, allowing you to be able to capture the ship you damaged (might even modify the storyline so that it is required to capture ships you've disabled, add more realism to the game).
      26. Allowing the use of armor repairing nanites on your own ship and lets say that requires having metal in your cargo to fix it, only 1 unit of metal should work since nanites would by then be able to make the armor molecule by molecule which if you don't know makes metals superhard by doing so and without being very thick. I imagine the nanites could be programmed to make the molecules in a certain arrangement to like honeycombed making the armor ultrahard and hmmm, if done making your armor correspondingly as hard. So lets see, interesting, you'd have to allow your armor to get damaged in relation to how hard it end up after using the armor repairing nanites

      OR

      1. You could upgrade your armour with armor altering nanites without it needing to be damaged in battle.
      2. Sensor jammer, making it harder for ships to hit you and assuming they are relying on their computers to target you and missiles, have to look out their windows making it harder for them to hit you in that way, yeah I know their are jammers but I mean something that messes up the internal ships targeters not just the missiles targeting systems.
      3. Auto-land and with landing targeting, you know how when you press L the game auto choosing whatever you are closest to? How about a way to choose from the console which place you want to land at, perhaps or in addition to via the sensor screen?
      4. A photonic weapon (no not like in star trek) but a weapon that emits a super bright light emitting mawssive amounts of heat melting the other ships armor and potentially your own if you are to close to the detonation. And the ability to detonate the torpedo on command.
      5. A mine launcher with a timer, so you can have it detonate at a specific time.
      6. A stealth ray allowing you to hit ships without them realizing it is you (at least for a while)
      7. A cloaking ray, different from the cloaking device in that it makes not just your ship invisible to the enemy but you as well, so that you can't even see the console. That actually existed at one time in reality...
      8. Ether vacuum devices, makes it so electricity can't flow in whatever range your vacuum was designed for, there by cutting off all power to any ships using fission, fusion, antimatter, or thorium reactors. Ok so that might as well be cheating right? Alter the story line so that most or some ships are using some hyper efficient diesel generator or one as a back up which is not affected by the vacuum generator. And the ability to a diesel engine to your ship.
      9. Toggle different red alert sounds of whomevers making. I don't mean make them sound off I mean when you go into battle.
      10. A sleek saucer shaped ship able to go into hostile planetary environments (and the descriptions to go with those planets/stars ... inside stars, cool
      11. A metaphasic shield (lol what?) able to allow your ship to go into stars, but only lasts for a while, no you don't land on the star of course
      12. A ship you can purchase that allows yours to go inside on command and thereby protect it. Only problem, you can't fire any weapons from inside. The opposite of launching ships 🙂 oh hmmm, ok lets say you have a pirate viper bay, you can launch ships from within the ship carrier, cool...
      13. Mining drones, lets you mine planets for whatever you decide is on them or what is said to be on them so you can trade it, say methane to some methane using polarin planet.
      14. Miners (requires antique mining equiment for difficulty), like a marine platoon but they mine (duh). For this to make sense they would only be able to mine once every day so that it isn't a cheat and only mine small amounts like say 2 units (to little?) a day.
        They could get better over time too, could give them stats like newbie, journey men or experts, same could be done to the marine platoon (dang this is turning into D & D now)
      15. Area wide bribe, so that you can bribe all attacking ships at once, phew.
      16. Elimination of the fake licence thing where it doesn't show up in your stats once you buy it, damn I hate that.
      17. Nebulas that have ionic storms affecting not just other ships but your targeting screen as well, would need transparency affect when your in them for realism. (i)"Sauce for the goose"(i) - Spock
      18. Atmospheric battles or storylines, planets that while you try to land on lands you fighting within the planets atmospheric or ionic layer, and remember there are bases and sky cities you can add.
      19. Leaving the ship and walking around ships (including your own and ones you want to commandeer) and on bases, etc. And able to battle with your gun or find items as you walk (or run) around. Getting really extensive now anyone want to try makig this plug-in lol.
      20. Modem playing mode, that would have to make a modem friendly storyline of course. You would only see the other player if he was in your section.
      21. System specific sensors, lets you peer into whats going on into other systems, whose there etc, I suppose you could make the game so extensive that ships you saw are still there by the time you get there, or that that memorization feature is only activated when you use the device.
      22. "Massive Modification" jobs, making it so that alter the size of your ship to take on more cargo or have more area for weaponry or solar panels or whatever. Cambrian / Sprite mods could only be done at say the Polarin area or some obscure place as hard to find as a wormhole.
      23. a Wormhole sensor (make the arrow a different color please)
      24. Planet Bomb you have to leave the system in a certain amount of time or you are destroyed, requires a near impervious cargo escape pod if you get caught in the explosion which adds to the cost, and you can't buy it without selling your other pod first. The bomb takes up 180 tons of space.
      25. Planet Destroyer, a massive ship able to destroy a planet with 20 shots, each requiring a charging wait time which you can begin while you are traveling to the system in mind. It would need a seperate bar and perhaps show a on drain your shield and or propulsion power as it charges up. Leaving your massively armored destroyer more vulnerable to destroyers. Also the damage done to the planet remains even if you don't manage to destroy it completely. After a certain number of shots the planet can be made to be completely uninhabitable or barely and it could say so in a pop up dialog. The planet would show up as chucks or leave a permanent debri field in the system which can be mined in debri state and asteriod state.
      26. Stars that if you go close to charges your propulsion faster.
      27. Z and Y axi, so that you can dodge missiles by moving up or down, depending on who makes that plugin if ever you could either make it so that your ship reduces in size somewhat to let you know you've dived down, or bigger to let you you've dived up, you would also know your position from a fixed point shown on the screen say the point you ended up at from the spot you jumped at
      28. Similar to above but only showing your point of location from the spot you jumped at, making it much easier to find any far away places or things like wormholes.
      29. Inertial propulsion engines, like anti-grav, just for variety. These engines by the way make the jump sequence instant and without a loud booming sound, more like a purring engine or whirring sound.
      30. Shadow cloak, like a cloaking device but makes your ship very hard to find visually for the enemy, compliments the Sensor Jammer, the disadvantage would be having the two takes up more mass than an outright cloaking device. or target, as opposed to totally invisible.
      31. Energy Absorbing Armor, does the same thing as a sensor jammer but adds to your armor rating and mass.
      32. Hyperlightspeed Long Range Antenna or HLRA allowing you to request assistance from any system on the starmap.
      33. Big Pod, a pod that allows you escape your ship but acts as a ship itself when you escape and has. Worse than a cargo ship and has no weapons, good for ending up where you want instead of a random location when you use a regular pod.

    • A) This isn't the Nova board, it's the board for EV classic.

      🆒 You posted this or something similar on the EV Developers corner, or maybe it was moved there. The original topic would still be on the board where it was originally posted though.

      C) A lot of what you suggest/want isn't possible with the Nova engine. No new features will be added. What is possible, you can look into developing on your own. Take a look at the EV Bible that comes with Nova (or is availiable on the addons page) for an idea of what is possible within the Nova.

      In the future, please look more closely at the board description/remember where you posted things. Thank you, and have a nice day/afternoon/evening (whatever it may be where you are).

      Why are you using them as warships? They were designed to be used only as cargo freighters. If you want a warship, buy a Pirate Carrier or a Manticore.

      Disable-only weapons already exist in Nova.

      You can already capture disabled ships. Have been able to for seven years.

      To select a specific stellar in a system, use the 1-4 keys.

      You can only have one alert sound at a time.

      Nothing can land on hostile planets. It would... require engine changes.

      Systems in nebulas can already be set to give you static interference.

      It has been said, literally, at least 200 times that Nova will NEVER be multiplayer.

      Cargo/Mass Additions already exist in Nova. And Override. And the original EV.

      So it's basically a cloaking device that weighs two tons more.
