This trick only works in any screen that has an Ancient Tunnel in it (the best one is the South Coast Ancient Tunnel entrance), and the Sea Giant is North of the Ancient Tunnel. Your character must have a speed of at least 10 and have a good bow (the Elven Bow of Destruction works best).

First clear out any minotaurs near the tunnel entrance. Then find yourself a giant and lure it so you run around the tunnel in a circle. If you get too far ahead of the giant while it is next to the tunnel mouth, the giant will attempt to get back to the spot on the map where it was before it saw you. This means it gets stuck and it also means you can get on top of the tunnel and shoot it until it dies (it does take a while).

My latest player character is only down to three whacks, but I expect to be down to two before this evening is out.

a similar method is to get a sea giant to chase you to the mouth of the South Coast tunnel. you may have to slow down a bit to insure he continues the chase. when he (and you) are right at the mouth of the tunnel, duck in then go right back to the South Coast entrance. the giant will be there but cant hit you. whack away at him with whatever weapon you have. when he drops his goodies, you may have to do a similar move. if while trying to retrieve the gold you go back to the tunnel map, just return and the gold and goodies will be waiting for you.

yes...good thing you edited that...

But as for Megas cheat, I cant test it since my dex is to high and the giant misses me anyway, but the giant and items do stay there when you enter the tunnel.

i'm kinda curious as to what the post was before it was edited. it works. i am not nearly as far along as you guys as to level of strength, dexterity, etc. which is why i'm out killing minotaurs and giants to make gold to get potions,,,
