Of course it is! Would Andrew lie about something like that?
Seriously, over 20 million satisfied customers; over 15 million give it three thumbs
up(must be something in the water).
Ok, even more seriously.. I think it is a fun game, yes. Many others believe it to be
so also. I would hazard a guess that anyone who has finished the game(and a scan through
the posts shows there are many, many who have) also believe it was fun(this based on
my assumption that anyone who did not think it was fun would have stopped playing way
before finishing). But "fun" is also subjective. My idea of fun may not be your idea
of fun(you do like to pick wildflowers, dress in women's clothing and hang around in
bars, no?), so I'd recommend looking at screen shots, or even downloading the free demo
and poking around with it a few days before buying it.
As to what it is about... Imagine a low-tech version of the Ultima games(7 and above).
It is similar in engine to that, with a decent story. It is set in medievil genre,
as you can become a knight, and fight with swords/axes/bows, etc. You play a hero and
get to free the empire from nasty giants and their minions that have decided the empire
looks tasty.
So again, if that sounds like a good thing, check it out.
Your mileage may very(YMMV).
(btw, the above "fun" was a pythonesque thing.. not intended as a personal flame nor
an insinuation of my personable habits. heh)

Shoot 'em with everything you've got. If anything still lives, shoot 'em again.
Could someone give a description of the game engine? The general gameplay? The only RPG's I've played are Chrono Trigger/Final Fantasy and Cythera. How is the gameplay similar to/different than these games? I'd kinda like this info before the download...

Oh, BTW to any moderators, the colors here, IMHO, are horrible. No flames please.

I find it quite stable and other than a few spelling errors almost bug free. The story was entertaining and the quests challanging. I played thought more than once and look forward to more gameplay via plugins. the only bug i found that crashed my machine related to the divine lamp quest and I beleave it plus a few minor fixes will come the next update and on the CD.

Really? You got off easy! I've had problems with PoG corrupting one of my Internet libraries. Every time I play I have to reinstall them. I think they will be fixed with PoG v1.0.1, though. I certainly bug Ambrosia enough ;).
