I need to get to the third level in the learning tree. So, I need the ritual shield. Does anyone know where the shield is located. Thanks

The elf will give you a mission to get the shild, I think you may have to look up the shield name, the sacrafice it was in and mabe a few other things at the learning tree. Then when you go to the witch, she will give you the shield for a price, and it wont be in her shop, you must ask for it.

What quests do you have in your quest log?
Also, when you went to the witch, was there any speaking text for you besides,
"Let's see what you've got?" (or whatever the, lets go shopping text is) You don't
purchase the ritual shield from her shop(as AAC said above). It is a text thing, while
talking with her, that you ask her about it. Then she offers to sell it to you.A final thought.. did you talk to the armourer in Fantrima about the shield? He's the
one who tells you about the shield being around Witches Finger, I believe.------------------

I have the learning tree - orders and the high garendall quest in my quest log. I have researched orders, fall, ritual sacrifice, Ipotehus, Kitrich and Brutehus but the quest will not go away.
If the armoreour and blacksmith are one in the same, I have talk to them. I am not offered any choice about discussing shields. Any help is appreciated.

When you look at your quest log, and highlight "Orders," what does the detail info
say?Have you found/spoken to the elf who lives in the ruins at the east end of the
plains of winds? He has you get a tooth, and I think he sends you after the shield,
though I could be wrong.And the armourer/blacksmith you talked to.. it was in Fantrima, and he told you a story
about the shield, and that it was last seen somewhere out west near/on the witches
finger? If not, go talk to the smith in Fantrima(not the dwarven blacksmith near
Gidolan Keep).------------------

I got the elf to talk to me. You have to search under Order of Seasons not Order. He has asked be to find a tooth held by the Order of the Crystal. They are supposedly located south west of Varandeep Lake. I have searched but can not find the Order. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks.

After you get across Verandeep Lake(there is a cave on the north shore, which exits you
out of a cave on the south shore), go west a couple screens and then south. You will
find a lot of mages that throw fireballs at you, as well as a temple. Enter the temple
and search the areas until you find the tooth. The temple is where the Order of the
Crystal was located. Bring back the tooth and you will be able to continue in the
quest.------------------
