I'm curious, what do you prefer doing to make money in EV?

First do rush missions, then buy a scoutship and trade until you can buy a clipper. Pirate pirates. Keep going until you can buy a Corvette. Capture Levo. Land take off. Land take off. Land take off. Repeat until you can buy a Kestrel and have 3-5 million credits leftover. Sell lightnings. Buy proton cannons and turrets. Buy all usual upgrades including speed, armor, and shield upgrades. Make copy of pilot file. In one copy, do 'Fed mission string(s) in another, do Rebel mission string(s).
Hope it helps!

Personally, I like UGE missions as the best and fastest way to make money.

How do you get these?
Most of disco's procedure is identical to mine. Except instead of separate pilot files, I become a double agent...
To save cost, I sometimes skip the Clipper step. I've also experimented with flying a Rapier, and it was quite fun. The thing is, most of your pirating pirates should be done with primary weapons, as secondaries tend to consume lots of the credits you earn.

I usually do the missions from the mission computers, and I usually take the rush deliveries too. Rush deliveries give you MUCH MORE money than just simple cargo shipments.
Or I destroy Confed or pirate ships and plunder.

What I do is hire lightnings, release them from servitude, disable them, capture them, and sell them that is a very good way to make money. Tens of millions an hour. If you do it in a system that sells lightnings you don't even have to go do a hyper jump. My sister doesn't do that because any time she does play (not very often) she's a merchant.

I'd have to agree with Jericon. Once you do one of those United Galactic Express missions, and they start appearing in the computer, it's easy money. They're pretty much the same as a rush delivery... And the reward is well over worth it. Ya just gotta pick 'em carefully though... Make sure you have enough time...

The best way to make money to me would actually be to make the check out to cash. I think that would be easiest. If you have to give me actual money, only small bills.
On a completely unrelated note, in EV I usually do lots of rush deliveries until an easier option presents itself.

I pride myself as a pretty good trader and, form the start of the game in a shuttlecraft, I can work up to 500,000 credits in maybe 8-10 minutes. (I think, its been a while.) Than I haul stuff around some more till I can buy a corvette. I do a combo of kicking pirate as*, taking over certain planets, and doing missions. Than I get a kestrel and do the above only with fewer missions and on a larger scale. (Oh yeah, I do double agent too and on an old file which was erased I also enjoyed doing the UGE missions. It's a quick buck)

I like hanging around Capella pirating Confederation ships. Luxury liners are the best because their almost defenseless and have about 40,000 credits. Long live the Rebellion

Did you ever find Andrew Welch?

Yeah, and I killed him... no offense, Andy, but you guys tend to carry cold, hard cash. I think...
Anyway, easiest way of making money? Tribute. Tribute tribute tribute. Easy easy easy.

I wonder how many credits Matt Burch has...

I've heard it's in the tens of millions... never captured him myself, though. Heavy Rockets are tough to fight upstream in.

What I think is the best way is to take the missions out of mission computer if there aren't any missions in the spaceport bar. Do the missions. Hint: Never talk to traders and take their missions. They only give you 10,000 credits.) Also always get rush deliverys to the closest planet. (you can look where your missions are before you accept them, by highlighting the mission you might want and click your map button.(mines M)).

Preffered to the Feds but I would fly a scoutship anyday more than a Stupid Rebels
Doing Rebel Missions and plundering I think. I only plunder pirates and Confeds though. But Confeds don't have much money so I usually take on Pirate Kestrels.
