      I'd be interested in knowing what ships & weapons have been used to destroy the Alien Portal. I've done it with a Polarus Puma and 90 nuclear missiles, a Polarus Heavy Cruiser and Nukes, a Proxima Battle Cruiser-disruptors and plasma torpedoes, and with a Proxima Bird of Prey using disruptors and positron torpedoes. It was hardest with the Puma (about 20 tries), easiest with the Proxima Battle Cruiser, and most challenging with the Bird of Prey (requires a steady hand on the tiller)

      Are you sure you're not talking about EV Nova or Override? Polaris, I think, is from Nova.

      If you are talking about Nova, you should post this in the Nova web board, not the EV board.

      The old EVGE plug-in for the original Escape Velocity also has a government called Polaris.
