I have downloaded both of them and have tried to use both. PB freezes my computer (OS 9.1 lots of RAM, HardDrive, etc.), and Cheat II launches and barely gets to the first screens and then quits with a Type 1 or 3 error. So, here I'm trying to kill sea giants and its not working. I didn't find the blue mushroom until later, I've only got a max of 153 life points, keep buying potions from the witch whenever I can, have 178,000 points until my next level up (this level started with 480,000). Any suggestions on getting Cheat II or PB to work? Sea Giants look at me and I'm dead. So close yet such a continent away.

I doubt that ACE! would have a PoG module out this soon after PoG released, plus they have to account for plugins that alter the game, plus they might simply decide not to make a module for PoG. Who knows?

Ok, I tried using Cheat II on my 68k, and it works fine for me, but I read in the read-me file that it is significantly old and probably will not work at all on PPCs.
As for Pandora's Box, my guess is that it's conflicting with something in your system folder, but I could very well be wrong.

I used cheat II back in the PoG beta, and PB now. I got both to work, but Cheat II gave me the usual opening problems.

I reccomend using PB, it's just a hell of a lot better in every possible way.

The number 1 thing to remember with cheating apps is to NEVER use a number larger than you'd ever realistically see in the game without cheating. I remember in EV I'd give my self about 999999999999999 credits and I just got a negatitive number.

Here's what you should do:

For gold, just search for the number, get it, and change it to about 3 times what you want to buy. A good limit would be about 99999.

For HP, you should look for your current HP, and when finding it, make sure your current HP is lower than your max. Change it to it's max (and no higher!), and freeze it.

I wouldn't reccomend cheating your EXP, it's never really a good idea in general. But if you freeze your HP, and wear good armor, you shouldn't need much else.

If it freezes, just make sure you haven't got too much ram allocated to PB. That caused problems for me too.
