Though the question is now moot, 56 tons would be far better spent with 2 racks and 36 missiles than 2 tubes and 6 torpedoes. One tube and 31 torpedoes might be even better.
While Hawks can be fun, they are usually destroyed before dealing any serious damage.

I disagree strongly. I use my corvette as armored bait, and my hawk(s) can hammer, as well as using my own guns

Nah. The delivery mechanism is way too slow, allowing for significant shield recharge for the opposition and the chance for your enemy to pummel you.

It's slow, yes, but I think shield recovery would be outweighed by the sheer damage of 31 torpedoes.

I doubt it. The shield recharge may range from 2-6% or so, very much narrowing the damage the torpedo does.

torpedoes are the best.
yes they take up space, they also have less turning but thats about it.
They have quite a good hit on them, so if a light fighter is attacking they get repelled back, this might give u extra time to hit them with more torpedoes and some turrets. Also torpedoes make more damage and are much cheaper. Just aim it and your sure to kill.

what 4 missiles and some rubish lasers to attack with?? it takes some time to get the dam things back in. NO they are not good!!! Missiles are better than the fighter bay.
