While this is probobly the problem, you should make sure you have the latest version of Stuffit Expander (6.0.1, I think), available at (url="http://"http://www.aladdninsys.com")http://www.aladdninsys.com(/url) .

And for good measure, grab a copy of the most recent version of DiskCopy.
I got the game to open. So I geuss it works. As it turns out there are TWO PoG folders on my desktop one of which contains the copy or part of the game that won't open. As far as the disk image I'm not sure what you mean when you asked if i removed PoG from the disk image. When I try to open the disk image it says can't enable file sharing.

another troubleshooting question:
I have an unregistered copy of Pillars of Garendall. It seems to work fine mostly, but whenever I try to load a saved game, I get the message "You cannot progress further in the unregistered copy of this game" or something. Is this supposed to happen?

with game closed, double click on your saved file, and it will work, Its a known bug.
