It's okay, now! I got 'em! I couldn't kill 'em in my alien fighter (equipped with only ultimate forklift). That's when they showed up as little glowing-red plus-signs (immovable, except with a tractor beam). When I put in the plugs for the SR2, Aliens Beams, Super Torpedo, and Fireball, they showed up as SuperShuttles. And I went to the trouble of switching back to my SR2! Well, the SuperShuttles were easily dispatched, and after a rendezvous with my contact on Spica, found out the aliens (this time in regular alien battlecruisers and fighters) were massing for a strike in (what's the name of the system just NW of Sol?). Well, we took 'em all out with my ship's Heavy Fusion Beam and Fireballs (sounds like a type of reproductive problem). I'd still like to know how to kill the little red plus signs, though.
Nope! Tried it again without Levo Fix. This time they were the little red plus signs. I'm not sure what they were, but all it took was a fraction of a second of my heavy fusion beam or one fireball to take one out. I come to find out that (I suppose) these are the fighters, or maybe communication nodes. The real ships (battlecruisers, what have you) are off behind the "Great Wall." They've all got 100% shields, but each one of those little plus signs taken out equals one percentage point removed from their shields. I've gone back and forth from Vulcan to Apollo and back...only to find these plus signs are back. Your guess is as good as mine as to what they are. I can communicate with them (or is it with their battlecruisers), up to a point. Unfortunately, the main ships are hiding behind the "Great Wall Where No User May Pass." I haven't been able to continue the string because of this. Why before when they were supershuttles, I blasted them only once and the string continued.
I guess the basic question here is how do you destroy something you can't even get at?
