I just got done playing a little nova when i started thinking about the Vell-os ships. The Javelin reminded me way too much of the Atinoda Kestrel and the Dart of a lightning. The Arrow could be a corvette. Has anyone else had this? Maybe from EVO?
p.s. this may belong in the nova forum, but i'm not sure.

Hmm. The Vell-os "ships" don't look anything like the Kestrel or Lightning. Their colors are similar to those found in the Corvette, but the shape of the Arrow is entirely different. The EV ships don't glow. And they have no beam weapons. So I don't see it myself...

well, i wasn't thinking in terms of appearance, i was thinking of the basic evolution of the ships. We go from an okay fighter to a decent ship to an awesome carrier that carries two fighters. the same can be found with the crescent fighter, lazira, and crescent warship. It's almost as if the ship concepts are transferred along the games but the apperances and purposes change. i hope that clears things up a little.

Hmm. Then I do sort-of see the change. But that could be accounted for by standardized (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum26/HTML/002051.html")ship classes(/url). That means that (for military purposes) the standard configuration of ships are Fighter (multiple classes) --> (Gunship) --> Destroyer --> (Cruiser) --> Carrier. Of course, the Polaris differ due to their technological edge.

The only real similarity I've ever seen is the Starbridge and the Arada (from Override). The Starbridge looks somewhat like a really decked-out superada.
