When I was doing the Astrodyne Outpost III mission during the second leg where you rush the SEALS back to Palshife i ran out of fuel in the uninhabited "Gamera" system. I stole enough fuel from passing ships to get back to Palshife but the mission had been auto aborted or something. It didnt say there was anytime limit so i dont know what i was doing wrong. I have tried to get the mission again by repetedly going in to the Palshife bar looking for it, and, yes, i did leave the system and go to another planet before going back into the bar (didnt just click on the bar a bunch of times) and i also tried going back to Astrodyne Outpost looking for the SEALS there. It says i have no active missions, so i dont know what happened. have i been through enough? also my goverement rating hasnt changed since (still upstanding citizin). can anyone look at the program somehow and tell me if its still possible for me to get the mission, or am i screwed and i should start a new pilot (NOOOOOOO!!!). anyway, thanks for taking the time to read my newbie post, and ill thank you again if anyone can figure out whats wrong!!

Hello, and welcome to the boards. Yes, you should be fine. No matter what, you shouldn't have to delete your pilot file. If you can't fix it, I'd save the pilot folder seperately, then reinstall everything and take your pilot file and put it back in.

And of course, are you using any plugs?

noooo!!! it didnt work, i reinstalled and too the copy of my pilot folder and put it in the new pilot folder but it still didnt work. i tried going from palshife to a different planet checking the bar each time probably 10 time and it didnt help = / . in the plugins folder it had the EV Tuner but that doesnt do anything, is there something i could use to like take my piot file back abotu a year?

Then, unfortunately, I don't know how to help. You might want to allocate more ram for EV, but I don't know the technical stuff; Skyblade or DA does, I bet.

Download Schmelta V (it a mission editing device). If it still exists that is. Just get it and scroll down and find the mission thats giving you problems. Change the avliability to 100% or something, i did that to a lot of EV missions cause i couldn't be bothered waiting for the next mission

It sounds like you may have been detected carrying the commandos, which could abort the mission - I'm not sure if Astrodyne is set up that way or not. But if you're going to be editing missions as Magpie suggested, you should use (url="http://"http://davidarthur.evula.net/mc.php")MissionComputer(/url).

No Name, first welcome. Second. I remember having trouble with that mission too. If I remember correctly, it seemed like I completed an eternity of Courier and Escort missions -- with the odd "eliminate X pirate" mission too -- before I showed up in Palshife's bar and "bing!" there was the Seal Team retrieval mission again.
