    • If you doubted it...

For those of you who thought my trick didn't work...

(Here is my trick: I save the game right next to a pile of rocks or one of those pits that usually gives you a pile of gold or two. Then you keep clicking on the rocks or pit until it gives you a skill potion.) I timed it and it usually takes about 3 mintutes a pit/pile, or about 25 times, to get a potion. Granted, sometimes you get a potion of perception and that bites, but here are my stats at LEVEL 17:
      Strength: 45
      Dexterity: 28
      Vitality: 40
      Speed: 8
      Marksmanship: 17
      Luck: 36
      Hit Points: 242

If you want a snapshot of the status screen or a copy of the character, let me know. Either way, 242 HP's is an average of 15 a time, which is really nice, and a +30 to damage at that level is nice. Try it, and learn the key commands to speed up the process. If you have any questions, feel free to email me about them. (bibfreshtuna@yahoo.com)
TRY IT, and just do it long enough to get a potion and see how great it is!

O, theres no doubt it works. I'v tried it myself, you just have way too much time on your hands, even more-so then me 😛
It is a cheat, and not worth doing if you just want to play. But if you want to become a super hero and have alot of time, this is the least expensive route.

    • Least expensive route???
There comes a time when, in the time it would take you to find a new stash and then try to get a stat raising pot 25 times, you could get enough gold to buy a pot, plus the exp.

Sorry, ment it as least expensive route regarding XP to money and levels, plus the more Vit. you can get in the lowest levels, the highest Hp overall you will end with.
Much later in the game, sure, I can buy mabe seveal elixers to time it takes to find 1 useing this trick. but if your still level 13 or lower, you still cant fight the strongest enemys for this cash.
but this IS cheap, just takes time. and I see this cheat only realy used to get strength and Vit. realy early in the game. do you want 200hp around level 22+ or around L15.

    • Or do you want 135hp at level 20.
Like somebody I know very well. Very, very well in fact. 🙂

You can get 3000-4500 gold in 3 minutes? Please tell me THAT secret. 🙂

    • I didn't say 3 minutes(i.e. the time needed to get a stat raising pot from a stash), but rather the time needed to find a stash, and then get a stat raising pot.

Down in the south you can kill the minotaurs, which have dropped about 60 gold on average for me, plus the an item about every 5 or 6 kills, and the item usually has a value of at least 1 or 2 thousand. The area has minotaurs all over, made even easier to find with the awareness skill, and it takes me about 30 seconds to kill each one.

I can see your point. The way I have done the trick is to save the game whenever I am out exploring and I find a pile of rocks/pit. THEN I will do the trick until I find the skill pot. It isn't an all-out focus on finding the stashes, but rather something to do when you come across one. BTW, I am not to the minotaurs yet, so I cannot do that. The nice part of my trick is you do it when you are just starting out so you don't get diddly hp each level in the beginning, and you can kill things because your strength beefs up you damage.

    • Err, if you want to cheat there are much easier ways of doing so. Saving/reloading is cheating, just the same as hacking a memory value.. except it takes longer and isn't nearly as exact. Still cheating, though.

I think you've just been wasting your time 😛

    • I don't consider waiting at each stash to be quite as bad as hacking, at least if you get a pot from each stash there is a resonable limit, and you've spent the time. Still, either is cheating.

Okay, one and all... I am not trying to say it isn't cheating. For those of us who aren't hackers, however, it is a nice way to get a tough guy. And besides, you feel more like you have still built your character, as you have spent time to get it that way. If you think it's a waste of time, don't do it. If you think it could help you, use it. However I play the game is no more of a waste of time than however you play it.
