SBSoftware (or, just me), is going to start working on a plug-in for EV: Nova after the release of Between Time And Space (name subject to change) for EV.

What would be a good name for Bounty Star?
Here's some info for you to ponder on:

In a time when Mercenaries rule the galaxy...
In a time when "Major" Governments rule the public...
And the Mercenaries rule the Military....

Bounty Star is a Final Fantasy VIII-based EV: Nova Plug-In. There are now space-born Gardens and "Ragnarok" Class ships that are still used for a good purpose. The elite mercenary faction known as SeeD rules only as far as favor goes. But the evil Sorceress Renna rules as far as power goes.

There are still the Balamb SeeDs, Galbadia SeeDs, Trabia SeeDs, Timber SeeDs, and Esthar SeeDs to unite and beat out the sorceress and her armored clads...

Alhough you will not be able to fight the sorceress directly, you will be able to "defeat" her empire's ships. I think I have a plot, but it's not even in the making yet.

So, what would be a good name for this? It's after when FF8 ends. I thought about Final Fantasy VIII.V (FF8.5), but that sounds a tad weird...

Any ideas?

There will be the availability to join as Bounty Hunters and other new governments also.

I was thinking about the title of Final Fantasy: Beyond the Planet or Final Fantasy: Beyond , maybe even Final Fantasy: Beyond the Spirits. But I shall see...

TSB, sounds pretty cool. I would not name it after some final fantasy thing; basically, it would look like a rip-off of some sort. I like the name Warriors of Fortune myself.

I agree ares1... I was just putting out what I had come up with. I really do like Warriors of Fortune. I think I may use it. I will, of course, give credit to Azdara for that.

I would assume that those two incident's probably happened before the server switch. Things are much easier for Starkiller to update since its now hosted by evula.net

..of course, I'm sure you've already resubmitted your application and/or talked to Starkiller about this..

hey i like the idea of the whole FF8 thing because i've got it but you probaly wouldn't be able to use the SeeD name because squaresoft just might have copyrighted it. other than that it sounds great when will it be finished because i would lov a copy of it.

1. Good point... I will try to contact Squaresoft about that.

2. If you notice from the posts above, it says that it's going to be an EV:Nova plug and will most likely not be done until about eight months after its release. Maybe even longer... in fact, I would bet on about 1 year away from the release. That way I can play the game and get started on the plug.

I haven't finished my other TC plug, currently entitled Between Time And Space *

Doing all of this is hard work for one person...

I am sure that there would be no problems with copyrights, seeing as how TSB is a minor (the laws for copyright infringement is EXTREMELY lenient on minors) and it is freeware, and about 100 people would ever see the plug anyways. Besides, the odds that squaresoft would even find out about it is one in a million. And, if they did, the worst they would do was to make a formal request that it be changed.

Wrong about them being leniant just because he is a minor: it is a copyright infringment, plain and simple. They'd just go after his parents. However, as long as TSB doesn't actually contact SquareSoft, I don't see how they'd really find out about it.
