    • Molespider cave--need help :)

      Hello y'all,
Operating on a Full -un-registered version, (3 hours d-load on T1!) already purchased the game, waiting for tommorrow for code to get here... Could anybody give me some tips on how to beat mind- watchamacallits? You- know, the big blue guys in the molespider cave... My guy is 60 health +37 armor, and does 6-16 dmg. Stocked up on health potions, but these guys are really kicking my rear.
I figured that beating molespiders is easy, it's just a question of timing. But for mind-beaters, you can't hide behind your shield :frown:
btw, Great game, (My sister and I really enjoyed Cythera, based on that we both ordered PoG CD's...)

      Kudos to Beenox!

    • Easy solution:
      1. Buy more potions
      2. Buy a better Drivatan weapon
      3. Pray

      Hard Solution (spoilers):
      1. Register the game
      2. Find the thief who'll give you awareness
      3. Find Heldan's fairy
      4. Wear his hat then kill the spiders
      5. Rejoice in the cool stuff you get in that cave.

    • Another solution has been left out, waiting until a higher level.
I don't remember the exact numbers, but I had about 124 hp, did about 11-23 dmg, and had about 50 ac.
I didn't have any mind resist items, but the total damage I recieved from them was only about 30 some.

P.S. I have a DSL connection, and the download took me 47 minutes.

    • About that cave...when I went in there I got a nice bow, but PoG won't tell me anything about it except for the name and the fact that it's 2-handed, is there any way to identify the thing???

Mine says it's the "Elven Bow of Destruction," but that the damage rating is unknown. Maybe your player character slowly learns how to identify weapons better as you progress through the game?

    • Oops, never mind, I just realized that I said the same exact thing you said. Sorry

    • Using the claymore of light I had little difficulty clearing out the spiders. The mind benders are more of a challenge. My strategy was to run away and be chased by only one of them. I could ususally kill one but never two at the same time. The moment one was out of the way I would save, drink the necessary health potions then take out the next. Eventually, if one proceeds very slowly one will reach a ladder and no more mind benders! At the bottom of the ladder is some loot including the wonderful elven bow of destruction.

A bit off-topic, but I can't find Mesera's room to get the scroll to give to Mary, to get Awareness. Can someone give me directions?

It does 10-20 damage. To find this out, equip the bow, then look at you're stats, it will tell you how damage you can do. For me it does 11-23. But if I use a weapon which says it does 1-4, it will do 2-7. It does 1-3 more damage for me. So I take the 1-3 damage off 11-23, and I end up with 10-20.

    • Other then the stuff that you get at the end is there any point to the molespider cave
Is there a mission involved or is it just there for the stuff

took me 10 minutes to get the full version on a mirror site I got DSL

    • I was able to figure out the damage of the bow by the same method, but just wondering if there was some way you could get the game to say it does 10-20 damage, rather then that the damage is unknown. Then there's the fact that a lot of magical items give bonus' to stats, which this doesn't at the moment, and I was wondering whether if you could identify the bow it would.

when i was at level 9 with 56 hp and 12 armor, i took on 3 mindhunters at once. of course i had about 40 healing infusions and i came out of the battle with 2 hp left but wat the hey.
