I might have accepted Mac's proposal If the Dreden and HC hadn't been so close to our capital. What made me angy was that you were not only insisting on the ability to defend, and attack us at the same time, like making two moves in a row in a game of chess. I also might have accepted a compromise in which we got to pick the defense fleet but you got to command it, but you were asking us to give up all of our advantages. The entire reason for our attack was to take the Dreden out of the game with one swift Blitzkreig, once it was clear that this was not going to be accepted no matter how fair we attempted to be (maybe we weren't, but we tried to be) in our posts, Kyle, Grundy and I decided that we should surrender. It's sad really because BFS III might still have had several weeks of play left in it.
