      There is a little disparity in weapon costs to weapon damage, which made me wonder if certain weapons are more effective against certain types of creatures (like are swords less effective than smashing weapons against undead)?

      Also, is there a limit to what you can carry (encumberance)?

      I agree with that. As far as I see it the only thing that determines how much damage you inflict is your level(stat) and you weapon you have. Special weapons have protection(mind, undead), but I think that that's it.
