      I've already made it a primary weapon (which should help some), but I may drop its mass from 35 to 25 or maybe even 20, but I probably won't change its range or power. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

      I don't wanna mess with the engine outfits, I think they are just fine where they are. After all, you're paying a mechanic to modify your acceleration/turning... have you ever gone down to Mienike or somewhere to get you car to go even fast, and expected a great deal?

      Nope, that's why they are third-rate colonies. Especially Luna and Mars, they're so close to Earth and Stardock Alpha that it would make sense that if the colonies themselves needed supplies, they could just send a request for more supplies. Especially Luna, as it is just the Confederate shipyard; it doesn't need supplies to defend itself (Earth and Stardock Alpha are right there), and it doesn't need traders to stop by all the time. When was the last time you swung by a military base to pick up some windshield wipers for your car?

      I'm going to make it so the Manta "bay" holds 6. This will help out the Rebel Cruiser, and it also makes more sense, since the Mantas actually latch onto the ring on the Cruiser, they aren't stored in a bay.

      Hmm, after considering this: not a bad idea. The Lightnings are a pretty expensive ship (a million a piece), so the bay would be very expensive as well. Only people who could fly a Kestrel anyway would be able to afford to purchase one, but it certainly would be nice to sell it if you had a Kestrel and didn't want them anymore.

      Not only that, but the Rebel Destroyer can often trash a Kestrel. The Kestrel is basiclly the only frigate-class vessel available for independent use, and it's pricey for a good reason.

      I'm going to be dropping the price of the Kestrel slightly, so I think that this will balance it out enough. Quite frankly, military-grade ships SHOULD be able to beat a Kestrel, since the Kestrel is just for civilians.

      Yes, maybe Rebel ships shouldn't be able to, but that would require retweaking every ship's shields (to maintain the proper balance), and that just isn't worth it for a single ship. If I do modify the Kestrel's shileds, it would be in such a small amount that you probably wouldn't notice. More thank likely, though, I'll just increase it's armor instead.

      Man, you guys pointed out way more things than I thought about... Moderation 1.0 should get out soon, but it won't be with a bunch of these ideas... 2.0 will have them, though. πŸ™‚ (You guys have no idea how many plugins I've got going on right now. There is Moderation for EV and EVO, a couple of small plugs for EVN, and a couple of other plugs for EV and EVO; all this, and I'm going to be moving soon, too. Yeesh.).

      First, I don't think you can do that without making the second outfit a similar bay. However, that is an interesting idea, just not one that I will use, as it would require adding something to the game.

    • make the argosy a 1m credit ship, but change the turrets to proton and boost the stats somewhat, that way it's less of a jump to a corvette.

    • Hey, on a side note, I just got a cool idea (not suggesting you do this). It would be cool if someone made different variants on a ship, but kept the graphics and names the same. That way, you a bit of variety and unpredictability when you attacked something, simulating custom modifications the captains might have made to their ships.

      Hey, yeah, so if you attack a bulk freighter, sometimes it would lazy turn toward you and fire its feeble laser turret, but other times it would zoom off, then race toward you, unleasing 2 dozen space bombs, fly past you, and before you knew it, KABOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!

    • Please lower the prices on the confed patrol ship as well as the other upgrades you're doing on it. It seems odd to me that the inferior confed patrol ship (which never beats the manta 1 on 1) costs waaaaaaaaaaay more than the manta. Also, possibly the gunboat for similar reasons.
