I was wondering what they used to measure power (not speed) of the ships in EV. Like horsepower. But horsepower wouldn't work, as many ships would have 144,525,546,153,224+ horsepower. So, if there is, what is it, and if there isn't, what would it be?

If you're referring to engines, then max tn/s is the measure you're looking for. Max tons of thrust per second.

Max tons of thrust per second doesn't mean speed, more the power it can put down for acceleration. Horsepower is the same, you just take into account weight and you have acceleration (i think :))

That, and the fact that the horses would be frozen solid when they get to space.

Dead, frozen, space horses don't have much horse power, or any other kind of power, for that matter. And no, it doesn't matter how many you have.

So, um, can we try to convince you to bump HHGTTG up on the list, since it is likely much more interesting than anything else on the list? I highly recommend the series, especially the first three.

(edit) I say HHGTTG should be required reading for high schoolers in America. Great books, and might be useful for developing some cultural links with our friends across the big pond. Who's with me? We can start a petition in the US Legislature... (/edit)

So, not only do all ships go faster than the speed of light and thus theoretically travel backwards in time, but also , any shielding around the ship would block the ship from view anyway!
