Something happend to all of my EV Data files. They are all corrupted. I am going to optimize the disk tomorrow. But I stil need an EV Data file. Could anyone send one to me with NO

Most likely off a CD.
Spacey: I have two copies of EV (on different computers), but both have had slight modifications to the data files...

Yes, off of a CD. And he gets mad when he knows I already have or had it, then I download it again. Weird eh?
Slight modifications? Oh? Like what? If it's nothing major, like getting rid of ships or systems and stuff like that, then that's okay. And I have my old EV Data, so I could probably insert or remove the missing or added resources. But, if it doesn't make much of a difference with the gameplay, then I most likel won't do anything to it.
So, shall I ask what you did do to it?

I believe I discovered Escape Velocity on a Macwarehouse CD in 1996.
As for my EV data files, I've changed things such as ship armament, prices, outfit damage rate etc (example: Rebel vessels now carry entirely laser weapons). I don't believe my EV Data files are the ones you're looking for.
I should have made a back-up copy that I had not played around with...------------------

I already downloaded it again, but here goes:
In the beginning - at the loading screen - it says: Escape Velocity has encountered an error. Most likely due to lack of memory. Please enhance the allocated memory. Something to that effect. That is (obviously) a funky problem. Since it happened when you didn't have any plugins in your folder, I don't know what caused the problem. You should probably hold on to the compressed file you download so that if anything happens to your files again (ie: you accidently edit something via ResEdit even though you don't mean to), you can restore, rather than re-download.

Well, for some reason, it's fine now. I didn't even do anything to it and 12 hours later the game's fine. Weird.
By the way, god101, a gig is nothing compared to my 2 gigs.
